Training Experience Captains aims to strengthen our connection to Athletes*, by elevating our in store athletes experience, trough training excellence in all areas of the business. Whether focusing on product, service, digital innovation, store operations or any other topic critical to the Marketplace – the goal is to ensure Firstline teams that serve Nike consumer are trained, prepared and confident to serve their personal best.

The TCP ensures a commitment to premium experience and service and relies on a network of training and expert matter professionals to ensure teams have the right information, skills and abilities to deliver on the high expectations of Nike Consumers.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

PRODUCT, SERVICE & OPERATIONS BASICS EDUCATION

  • Execute Store Operations training sessions, using all the materials provided by Geo and Territory NAX leaders. Execute EKIN in Store and Virtual trialing events, following APLA and territory EKIN guardrails.
  • Execute Product, Services and Digital Innovation certification workshops and experiences for Firstline across the defined doors, in alignment with seasonal Territory EKIN calendar and NAX leaders guidance.
  • Facilitate Rookie Training Camp and execute Training experiences during Onboarding for new store teams, in alignment with standard Onboarding agendas provided by APLA NAX team.
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions with store leaders and in store trainers, as needed.
  • Use the seasonal training calendar, onboarding cadence, global /geo program rollouts and initiatives and quarterly livestream to determine area/district training strategies, plans and needs.

TRACK, MEASURE AND REPORT

  • Gather feedback to ensure the successful completion of training.
  • Observe skills and behaviors in action to determine impact and effectiveness of training efforts.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge, skill and performance and provide training recommendations.
  • Partner with Store Leaders to monitor the effectiveness of training and influence improvements by providing direct feedback to Field Leaders and Territory NAX partners.

MAKE SPORT AS DAILY HABIT & COMMUNITY IMPACT

  • Serve and inspire all store athletes. Promote and help store athletes to make sport a daily habit.
  • Educate and incentivize Firstline about Nike APPs usage (NRC, NTC)
  • Become a Nike Community Ambassador and include GYB platform education in events and store visits content.

MEMBERSHIP & O20 BASICS

  • Elevate A15 and other global and geo training content formats in store experiences and trainings.
  • Promote education and usage of Nike APP among Firstline team.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You’ll be report to SEA&I Retail District Manager, partner & support by the Territory NAX Leader & Team. On the daily you will be supporting a diverse team of Nike Store Teams in the marketplace.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

IMPORTANT ROLE CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Key relationship with Field Leader and NAX )
  • Officially reports to Field Leader or host Head Coach in the me Portal (Nike Owned stores)
  • Field Leader or host Head Coach to manage onboarding and CFE, development in partnership with the Territory NAX team
  • Recommended length of time in role is 18-24 months
  • Coach or higher
  • Ability to travel to other stores within Territory
  • Ability to participate in weekly meetings or conference calls

Primary Purpose: To support driving business and talent development through identify/ analyze, training and development needs, develop and implement training programs, perform evaluation and follow-up.   • Plan, design, and deliver the training programs or projects in both field and virtual environment to support retail strategies and priorities for all levels of retail team in an engaging and informative manner including but is not limited to:
  • Associate onboarding program
  • Selling, service and styling skills
  • Clienteling training
  • Specialist and other service training programs
  • Train the trainer programs
  • Work closely with global customer experience team to drive the adoption of global initiatives to maximize impact and effectiveness to local market
  • Manage and drive the impact of all trainings through regular store visits with active shop-floor presence to observe subsequent implementation and deliver sustained in-store coaching to enhance performance:

The accomplished individual will possess.

  • Minimum 5 years solid hands-on service/hosting training and development experience in retail sector, preferably in luxury/fashion/cosmetics brand
  • Experience in managing MEGA store or Factory Outlet store retail fields position is a plus (Flagship Store Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager)
  • Strong interpersonal and written and spoken communication skills in English and spoken communication skills in Malay and Mandarin
  • Ability to build positive relationships with cross-functional teams by creating a collaborative environment
  • Creative and strategic problem solver with solid execution and implementation skills
  • Holder of other professional training qualifications is definitely advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Powerpoint, Excel and Word Processing

Primary Purpose: To support driving business and talent development through identify/ analyze, training and development needs, develop and implement training programs, perform evaluation and follow-up. The incumbent will work closely with retail leadership team to deliver skill building training solutions.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Retail Training & Development to.

  • Partner closely and communicate effectively with retail leadership team to identify/assess local training priorities on an ongoing basis and proactively develop solutions to specific service and selling opportunities
  • Plan, design, and deliver the training programs or projects in both field and virtual environment to support retail strategies and priorities for all levels of retail team in an engaging and informative manner including but is not limited to:
  • Associate onboarding program
  • Selling, service and styling skills
  • Clienteling training
  • Specialist and other service training programs
  • Train the trainer programs
  • Work closely with global customer experience team to drive the adoption of global initiatives to maximize impact and effectiveness to local market
  • Manage and drive the impact of all trainings through regular store visits with active shop-floor presence to observe subsequent implementation and deliver sustained in-store coaching to enhance performance:
  • Skills improvement
  • Sales performance/productivity improvement
  • Maintain an updated database on training platforms, programs, manuals and related records
  • Lead a team of field trainers with a strategic approach to ensure trainings are planned and executed in accordance to business needs
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties in executing training initiatives
  • Manage training team budget
  • Lead or take part in ad-hoc project

The accomplished individual will possess.

  • Minimum 5 years solid hands-on service/hosting training and development experience in retail sector, preferably in luxury/fashion/cosmetics brand
  • Experience in managing MEGA store or Factory Outlet store retail fields position is a plus (Flagship Store Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager)
  • Strong interpersonal and written and spoken communication skills in English and spoken communication skills in Malay and Mandarin
  • Ability to build positive relationships with cross-functional teams by creating a collaborative environment
  • Creative and strategic problem solver with solid execution and implementation skills
  • Holder of other professional training qualifications is definitely advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Powerpoint, Excel and Word Processing

Primary Purpose :

The Associate, Retail Training & Development will be responsible for supporting all service and selling training strategies, as well as Omnichannel initiatives and programs, to help drive The Coach Experience in stores. The training scope encompasses retail stores across Malaysia, reporting to Manager, Retail Training & Development.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in customer experience to.

  • Support training strategy and implementation plan for Malaysia Retail stores, adapting global strategies/content as needed to align with the needs and priorities of the business
  • Partner with the Retail Management team to implement business strategies and support sales and service goals with impactful training initiatives, including for annual Store Manager Conferences and other priority programs
  • Help drive a differentiated customer experience in stores by understanding customer shopping needs, competitive best practices, and the luxury service environment (within and beyond retail)
  • Champion and support the implementation of The Coach Experience selling ceremony in stores
  • Leverage and maintain Coach’s online learning platform to ensure strong and effective implementation of foundational Coach training programs and tangible impact on sales and KPIs
  • Regularly participate in store visits (cadence TBD) to understand evolving in-store experience, store level opportunities and implementation considerations
  • Support in the development of effective networks/mechanisms for training implementation (e.g., store/regional train-the-trainer initiatives)
  • Provide training support to the Wholesale and distribution partner network as needed, adapting materials to meet the needs of their business
  • Gather and utilize field feedback to assess effectiveness of training programs and identify ongoing training needs and opportunities

The individual will possess.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in retail or hospitality training and development
  • Strong competency in creating engaging training content and learning tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement creative approaches to training programs that drive tangible results
  • Ability to implement strategies, measure impact, and make necessary adjustments to achieve objectives
  • Ability to analyze customer-related data and draw conclusions leading to improvement recommendations
  • Ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships

To support driving business and talent development through identify/ analyze, training and development needs, develop and implement training programs, perform evaluation and follow-up. The incumbent will work closely with retail leadership team to deliver skill building training solutions. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Retail Training & Development to. Partner closely and communicate effectively with retail leadership team to identify/assess local training priorities on an ongoing basis and proactively develop solutions to specific service and selling opportunities Plan, design, and deliver the training programs or projects in both field and virtual environment to support retail strategies and priorities for all levels of retail team in an engaging and informative manner including but is not limited to: Associate onboarding program Selling, service and styling skills Clienteling training Specialist and other service training programs Train the trainer programs Work closely with global customer experience team to drive the adoption of global initiatives to maximize impact and effectiveness to local market Manage and drive the impact of all trainings through regular store visits with active shop-floor presence to observe subsequent implementation and deliver sustained in-store coaching to enhance performance: Skills improvement Sales performance/productivity improvement Net Promotor Scores improvement Maintain an updated database on training platforms, programs, manuals and related records Lead a team of field trainers with a strategic approach to ensure trainings are planned and executed in accordance to business needs Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties in executing training initiatives Manage training team budget Lead or take part in ad-hoc project The accomplished individual will possess. Responsibilities
  • Accountable for customer satisfaction, and assisting customers with any requirements they may have.
  • Follow best practices effectively, as determined by the Ninja Management.
  • Be a team player in the team, to work effectively with peers.
  • Effectively communicate feedback and improvements to the Area Supervisor.
  • Communicate and work effectively with other teams to produce the best possible outcome for the company and its clients.
  • Use Ninja software to execute operations (with training from the Ninja team).
  • Assist in gathering sales leads and closing prospects.
  • Assist the Area Supervisor in managing the social media and Google account of the store, in terms of content and customer engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • SPM, with relevant industry experience.
  • More than 1 year of experience working in retail stores.
  • Professional fluency in English & Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Proven success in being a team member of a fully functional team.
  • Hands-on work experience with a proven track record in reaching and exceeding goals.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; solve complex problems, and develop creative solutions.
  • Effective verbal communication, with the ability to serve a wider range of customers.
  • Own transportation required.
