Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) Opportunity – Vision System Project (Jetson Nano, NVIDIA)

We’re looking for a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to join an industry-based research project involving vision systems using Jetson Nano (NVIDIA platform) .

What you'll work on:

• Vision system development using Jetson Nano and NVIDIA tools
• Image processing and object detection for industrial automation
• Real-world R&D exposure with industry collaborators

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or related
• Interest in AI, embedded systems, and hands-on prototyping
• Basic knowledge of Python or OpenCV is an added advantage
• Willing to work full-time at UMPSA Pekan

PhD/MSc Opportunity at INBIOSIS UKM Sem 1 2025/2026 (Oct 2025 intake)

Responsibilities

This exciting wet lab project will involve an empirical study of dried yeast viability & vitality, optimisation of enzyme expression for gluten detoxification of flour dough, physico-chemical characterisation of treated dough, and formulation of optimal baking using bioengineered yeast.

*The successful candidate must enroll in a postgraduate programme at INBIOSIS, UKM.

Qualifications

BSc/Master’s Degree in Science / Biochemistry / Food Science

Interests in molecular biology, industrial biotechnology, bakery

Diligent & determined to work independently on a research topic for 2-3 years

For international students: CEFR>=B2; TOEFL >=550 / IELTS >=6 with good scientific writing skills

The ideal candidate should have a strong molecular biology background, experience in wet labs (pipetting skills, PCR, extraction, activity assays), and a great interest in food biotechnology, especially bakery.

We are seeking a motivated person to join the speech and neuromodulation lab in the Faculty of Education. This position is available as either full-time or part-time, commencing as soon as possible for a six-month term, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants Should

• hold a bachelor’s degree or above in Speech Therapy, Linguistics, Psychology, Neuroscience, or related disciplines
• have at least one year of post-qualification work experience in speech and language-related projects
• possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese)
• have experience in fieldwork data collection from children (preferred)
• be familiar with statistical packages such as SPSS or R
  
  

Job Duty

• liaise with schools and coordinate participant recruitment
• collect data from children and adults
• schedule and conduct behavioral experiments
• prepare linguistic stimuli/tasks in Cantonese
• review and write research reports and articles
• perform other research-related duties as assigned by the project leader
