Overview
The Research Analyst provides stock coverage on assigned clients within Malaysia. Reporting to the Head of Research, the Research Analyst provides recommendations based on thorough analysis and company insights. The analyst must be able to present and market their ideas effectively internally to institutional sales and sales traders, and externally to clients. Typically, the analyst should cover 8 – 12 companies, as determined by the Head of Research.
Key Areas of Responsibilities- Product
- Ensure the team has adequate financial models and valuation databases for all stocks under primary coverage. At a minimum, these models should be robust, internally consistent, and able to perform sensitivity analysis on key earnings drivers.
- Contribution
- Support the writing of investment products, including company, sector and thematic reports.
- Respond to market news, earnings releases, corporate developments and other market-moving information when necessary and in a proactive manner.
- Client Contact
- Conduct bespoke work for clients, supporting the development of strong client relationships.
