Reporting to the Head of Research, the Research Analyst provides recommendations based on thorough analysis and company insights. Typically, the analyst should cover 8 – 12 companies, as determined by the Head of Research.

The opportunityThe business research associate/senior associate works with service line teams, including leaders and managers in delivering research content on diverse industry and business issue assignments for thought leadership publications, alerts, and proposals which enhances our market deliverables and our brand presence.
You’ll have the opportunity to drive strategic research inputs, innovate and develop value-added content for Thought Leadership publications, business alerts and deploying surveys on trending topics.
Your key responsibilitiesAs an associate/senior associate in our Research and Content – Client and Industries team, you will assist in the delivery/management of research efforts and initiatives. You will collaborate with service line teams and markets team (including Business Development) to deliver insightful research content.
The essential functions of the job include:
- Develop and enhance go-to-market content – Thought Leadership publications, business alerts and proposals, market intelligence
- Leverage on industry networks on key industries and trending issues.
- Able to grasp client insight requirements and conduct preliminary research to scope projects and propose customized solutions
- Strong command of secondary research methods to efficiently source and validate information from public and industry-specific sources
- Ability to turn complex information into compelling visualizations and narratives using structured storyboarding approaches
- Expertise in at least one or two industries, including knowledge of key KPIs, macroeconomic factors, dynamics and trends
- Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex ideas clearly and confidently in both written reports and client interactions
- A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics/Econometrics, Commerce/Business Studies/Marketing, Mass Communications and any STEM-related degree (science, technology, engineering, mathematics)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in business research
- A proven track record of delivering client assignments
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Strong research skills and familiarity with various research databases (Capital IQ, Refinitiv, etc)
- Point of View around sector/market segment, business and regulatory issues; and
- Curious mind with a strong interest in trending topics and media content.

Responsibilities
To collaborate with and support the media and strategic planning teams on research and data needs for relevant client accounts, covering both daily business requirements and business pitches. This includes tracking of category and competitive media spending and activity, consumer behavioural and media insights analysis and social listening. Key responsibilities and deliverables include:
- Identifying research objective and available resources to support campaign development process
- Construct, manage and maintain dashboard or tracking system using available tools
- Extract, analyze and populate reports using Excel, Google Slide or MS Powerpoint to draw meaningful insights
