This is one of the most progressive and reputable MGA’s operating within the UK today, where their Head of Office is based in Yorkshire. They have consistently won many insurer awards with one of these being employer of the year.
You will be responsible for finding, developing and growing new business opportunities, focusing on the company’s insurance products which this company underwrites and actively identify opportunities to cross-sell and build the whole business. In addition to this, you will be able to tap into their existing panel of insurance brokers and deal with new business enquiries and also some of the key renewals.
You will be based at home or work on site at one of their key brokers offices which would include some National Brokers, and therefore they would be quite a lot of autonomy with this position.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience within a commercial insurance underwriting environment and have previously built and maintained key broker relationships. You will also need to demonstrate that you have drive, self-motivation and determination to achieve results, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management and customer focus where you can be a team player but also be able to work under your own initiative. ACII or progression towards this would be an advantage.

Agency Management
- To provide a formal platform for Company to disseminate information and receive feedback from agency members.

- To attend to any doubts, concerns and problem faced by agency members and to provide solution to overcome the problem.
- To organize, plan and launch agency, regional or Company’s campaign, challenges, contest or promotion to agency members.
- To provide agency members a formal platform for inter-action and team working through group meetings and gatherings.
- To evaluate and identify Agency training and development needs in agency knowledge, skill, attitude and habit to improve agency productivity and professionalism.
- To liaise with LEAD/RDE/Special Project Co-ordinates and implement training and development programs for agency.
- To organize, plan and implement training and development programs for agency.
- To promote and encourage agency members to attend other Company/Industry’s training/development programs whenever available or necessary.
- To promote and encourage agency members to attend programs as part of their self-development exercise through self-study etc.
- To assist DOA in promoting Quality Recruitment Drive within their own region.
- Install and promote Mentoring Program within the region to ensure development of quality leaders in their regions.
- Continuously encourage Agency Leaders to focus on recruiting and train-up agents for promotion to be future agency leaders.
- Co-ordinate and execute plan for maintenance of agency contracts.

The mission is to initiate and develop business streams for Cotecna’s Agri and Fertilizers businesses in Asia Region. This will require close coordination with all concerned countries/regions and members of Sales and Marketing teams.

- Work closely with countries/regions and members of Sales and Marketing teams and business line heads, fostering teamwork spirit and maximizing exchanges for efficiency and revenue purposes.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in international trade or equivalent.
- Proven track record at Business Development level of Commercial/marketing/customer acquisition, management, and business growth.
- 5+ years’ experience in Bulk commodity and fertilizers sector, ideally within the Testing, Inspection and Certification business.

Purpose Statement: Supports Program Managers with daily tactical and administrative activities, liaising with the Customer Focus Team (CFT), Plexus functional areas and junior customer representatives.
