OVERVIEW
- The incumbent is responsible to carry out R&D projects related to new products / process, improvement & cost-saving projects from the stage of preliminary lab study to validation trials and transfer to manufacturing.
- To provide technical support in relation to new product / new material qualifications in manufacturing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend to and resolve problems utilizing PDCA, 5W1H, 4Ms, and other good management practices
- Be RESOURCEFUL by continually keeping up to date with the developments in his/her own field and keeping abreast with issues internally and externally to identify new areas of learning, improve knowledge, and suggest/develop new ideas, products, or processes.
- Document changes in a product due to new product, product improvement, product changes, and other changes in the design control file within the time frame stipulated in KPI.
- Diligently work to ensure all new products, product improvements, process improvements, product and process changes are documented and communicated correctly using the change control procedure / WI.
- Ensure that all work activities are done in strict accordance with own department's work instructions and procedures to conform to both Hartalega's Quality and SHE system
- Work well with colleagues and stick to work-related promises made to own team and to other departments.
- All other tasks as assigned by superior.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science - Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in research and development or quality assurance in the glove industry or relevant industry.
Technical and Professional Knowledge:
- New Product Development and Project Management skills.
- Local and International Social Compliance Standards.
