+ Ensure daily certificate generation is accurate, complete, and timely according to target.

  • Maintain the relevant documentation, update and revise when required.
  • Lead and guide team members to ensure the successful achievement of assigned project deliverables, fostering collaboration and maintaining high standards throughout the process.
  • Perform and collaborate with any relatable stakeholders in other special project/ task assigned by superior/ management.
  • Support the development of QA program improvements. Lead projects to develop or improve systems, standards, processes, and/or procedures.
  • Support in executing Supplier Quality Management program, evaluate current supplier base and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage, coordinate and analyze product incidents by root cause analysis and facilitating incident resolution.
  • Supports in the establishment and maintenance of HACCP system and practice compliance and ensures that all necessary corrective actions are identified and resolved
Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology, Engineering or other related disciplines.
  • Formal background or training in technical areas relevant to product safety standards (HACCP / GFSI)
  • At least 5 years of working experience in quality control and quality assurance management in F&B chain industry restaurant.
  • Fluent in English and Malay (spoken and written); proficiency in additional languages is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, quality assurance terminology, implementations, methods and tools.
  • Technical knowledge and hands on experience in handling certification audit such as HACCP is preferred.
  • Able to articulate new information quickly and react positively to new and challenging opportunities.
  • Able to communicate effectively with team members, internal colleagues, operational peers and suppliers.
  • Attention to details and accuracy, meticulous with good problem-solving skills.
  • Confident, proactive, able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines.
  • Possess own transport and wiling to travel.

Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance (Lumut)

We are Malayan Flour Mills Berhad, an established billions ringgit public listed food manufacturing company. We aspire to be a leading food manufacturing enterprise in the region and have diversified our business from flour milling to the sale of raw materials and integrated poultry business. Our integrated poultry business includes breeding and sale of day-old chicks, broiler and breeder farming, processing, and sale of poultry products and feeds milling. With over 50 years of experience and a workforce of over 2600 in Malaysia and Vietnam, we are expanding and seeking talented individuals to join our team.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall quality assurance/control functions by effective planning, directing, controlling, and following through on product quality performance in the plant, including the flour silo.

Ensure quality objectives and product performance are met through constant monitoring and improvement of internal and external requirements.

Ensure compliance with HACCP, Food Act, Regulations, and best laboratory practices to meet stringent quality expectations by customers and regulatory bodies.

Continuously review and monitor quality assurance/control processes to identify opportunities for improvement in procedures, methods, effectiveness, and resource utilization.

Initiate troubleshooting to resolve quality assurance/control issues.

Train and upgrade the skills and knowledge of subordinates, and motivate them to work effectively and productively.

Respond to customer complaints and external audits to ensure issues are addressed within the specified timeframe.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or related scientific/technical field.

At least 5 years of experience in quality management or related roles.
