Job Description
Responsible in determining the quality of every production batches manufactured in the plant. The role requires discipline in maintaining the outmost integrity in evaluating the result of the production batches objectively through the standard test as required in the product. EHS and 5S is critical to ensure the safety of all personnel and maintain the standards in the plant and it must be complied by the incumbent. The incumbent should possess some knowledge or skill in paint making, paint technology or chemical and have previously worked in a manufacturing plant in production or quality control.
Main Task and Accountabilities:
- Conduct routine QC tests on incoming raw materials, in-process batches, and finished PPG coating products.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to verify coating properties such as viscosity, adhesion, curing, appearance and others
- Follow established SOPs and safety guidelines to carry out laboratory procedures.
- Prepare chemical solutions and set up equipment for testing.
- Record test results accurately and perform necessary calculations.

- To ensure productivity more than 95%
- Maintaining 5S score more than 90%
- Meeting EHS LCR and PPE adherence
- Releasing the good product quality at nominal range of test results

- Manage and control inventory of consumables such as valves, O-rings, collar tags, and cap seals.
- Inspect damaged cylinders/valves to determine scrappage and ensure safe decanting procedures.
- Prepare monthly summary reports on returned cylinder trends and provide daily updates on cylinder conditions.
- Participate actively in fire drills, safety programs, and 5S initiatives.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the Terminal Management team.
Requirements:
- SPM, Technical Certificate, or Diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in terminal operations.

- Perform sampling of materials for analysis based on work order and ensure proper record and storage of the samples.
- Perform equipment daily checklist, inspection, and calibration; inform superior if found abnormalities.
- Conduct a variety of laboratory testing and analysis based on schedule and able to meet dateline.
- Able to understand standard operating procedure (SOP) and follow lab testing methods to obtain accurate and reliable results.
- Manage indirect chemicals and department related inventory; follow the instruction and provide feedback to direct superior when needed.
- Cleaning and maintaining the condition of laboratory equipment and glassware after conducting laboratory testing.

- Up-date and ensure the accuracy of data while keeping good documentation and prepare details analysis report.
- Ensure compliance of GMP, safety protocols, company policies and customer’s requirement in workplace.

- Education level: Minimum Diploma in Science or Engineering.
- Year Experience: Entry-level
- Capability: Good in analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable to work with chemicals and have knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Skills: Familiar with testing operation and equipment. Good communication and time management. Good math’s and measurement skills.
