The Supply Chain Planning team is responsible for securing materials used in Zebra’s operations. Supply requirements are moderated by the team to ensure that inventory positions are appropriate to meet the demand requirements relative to forecasted levels, inventory on order and in transit from regional distribution centers, product life-cycle, quality and special customer requirements and/or projects. The team cooperates with are Global Demand Planners, Buyers, Operations, Order Management, Logistics, Finance, Helpdesk and Customer Experience Management teams.


The Supply Chain Planner I has a key role in the team. Beside standard materials planning responsibilities, the person is expected to participate in continuous improvement activities of materials management processes and project management work.


Responsibilities:
  • Support and participate in deployment of supply chain model within region
  • Assist with the planning and development of supply schedule to keep sufficient inventory positions to support material requirements of internal or external customers
  • Assist in the review and adjustment of demand plan with internal stakeholders
  • Follows instructions and applies Zebra’s procedures to resolve issues and mitigate constraints impacting supply plan including capacity, transportation, and order-management errors
  • Monitor open purchase orders to ensure on time deliveries; partner with Order Management to resolve any admin/order error(s)
  • Work with senior team members to identify and report shortages within the broader supply chain organization and support resolution
  • Develop working relationships and communications with key cross functional stakeholders to confirm production / shipping schedules
  • Receives detailed instructions on all work
  • May assist in performing ad-hoc analysis as needed
  • May participate in cross-functional projects as a representative of the supply chain function

Qualifications:
  • High school or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • International Supply Chain experience in service and/or
    manufacturing a plus
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Oracle knowledge a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Job Description

Tasks

Customer Support/Problem Solving
1.Tracking, monitoring and measuring incoming and outgoing volumes within the regional logistic centers
2.Ensuring accurate regional spare parts availability for Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans
3.Ensuring Daily Order Processing based on Inventory Management System Order Proposals
4.Planning, analyzing and initiating activities to forecast and update demand signals for spare parts
5.Collaborating with several internal stake holders worldwide
6.Executing root cause analysis
7.Evaluating and recommending improvements
8.Managing small allocated projects and processes to successfully achieve customer satisfaction improvements

Analytical and Reporting
1.Analyze and investigate logistic issues using own knowledge, computer applications, databases with other Mercedes-Benz entities and external partners
2.Continuously monitor and assess parts availability to ensure sufficient supply and response to support ongoing business requests and departmental reporting commitments to Mercedes-Benz internal partners
3.Plan, develop and execute relevant operations and systems training in terms of Regional Inventory Management

Continuous Improvement
1.Ensure continuous update of own information and relevant knowledge regarding supported products, tools, Mercedes-Benz processes and information systems.
2.Ensure changes to service-relevant MB Malaysia operational procedures are incorporated in own work

Qualifications

Education level / Training
•Tertiary education with discipline in Supply Chain Management or other relevant field
•Minimum Bachelor Degree holder

Experience (type of)
•Minimum of 3 years work experience in automotive industry, customer support, logistics environment or comparable
•Working experience in Supply Chain or Logistics Planning industries
•Good understanding of inventory transactions & inventory management

Specific knowledge/ Skill

•Fluent in English (corporate language), and any additional languages is a plus
•Knowledge in Logistics Planning systems is a plus
•Strong tracking and analytical skills in various tasks and scenarios
•Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
•Good interpersonal skills and able to work as a team
•Agile learner to be trained on various Inventory Planning tools and systems
•Good problem solving and negotiation skills.
•Strong time management, accountability and organizational skills
•Excellent knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
