The Strategic Sourcing Manager leads end-to-end procurement strategies for VAT Malaysia, driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and regulatory compliance. Yourresponsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Stakeholder Satisfaction & Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders with strong business relationship to understand their procurement needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Be preferred local Business Partner and be the voice of business stakeholder's needs & requirements by understanding and relay business needs and requirements.
- Provide outstanding services that meet stakeholders’ needs to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction
- Compliance and Regulatory Control:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. To provide strategies to increase compliance.
- Develop, implement and manage all vendor relationships and services ensuring compliance to service level agreements.
- Strategy and Suppliers Management:
- Responsible for end to end management of VAT Malaysia plant, including category sourcing, projects in the pipeline, procurement process and policies and managing the spend and savings targets for the plant spend.
- Align with VAT CH team to develop and execute strategy for indirect spend categories.
- Lead the development of indirect strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
- Manage complex projects from conception through implementation, including change management
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships, and facilitate periodic business reviews to continually identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities
- Manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements
- Contract Negotiation and Cost Management:
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor and report activities to ensure fulfilling service levels and take mitigation actions in case of non-fulfilment of agreements
- Partner with legal to ensure proper forms of Agreement are utilized, contractor conformance with the terms and conditions of the Agreements, and refinement of Agreements as required.
- Accountable for IDM spend & savings targets and objectives for VAT MY
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes.
- Supporting scrap management for the manufacturing plant.
- Define and track the indirect procurement performance dashboard for the plant.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement while implementing development opportunities to to enhance their skills to be Subject Matter Expert and career development
- Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
- Bachelor’s / Masters degree or equivalent work experience in Sourcing / Procurement with relevant experience of a minimum 10+ years in manufacturing plant environment.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with stakeholders to address all aspects of procurement management for Contract Manufacturer (CM), including pricing, procurement support, supplier management, supply-base strategy, market trends assessment, etc.
- Understand business service needs, request for quotation, negotiate pricing, commercial and supply agreements with suppliers.
- Set up “should cost” study and lead quarterly negotiation with suppliers to achieve quarterly and yearly cost reduction.
- Manage overall cost with CM, roll-up BOM cost, monitor NRE and other special charges.
- Negotiate legal contracts such as NDA, GPA with suppliers.
- Coordinates procurement activities with manufacturing, quality, planning and engineering departments.
- Establish, implement, and administer system and process to evaluate, monitor, report and manage supplier performance and improvement (incl. QBR’s).
- Monitor commodity market trends, effectively reflect market dynamic in terms of supply, cost, etc.
- Identify potential sources or suppliers in business manner.
- Develop and execute a supply-base strategy to meet the Company’s business growth and requirements.
- Identify, develop and manage relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Quality to identify and drive cost reduction / avoidance activities.
- Collaborate with NPI, Engineering, Quality and Operations to effectively manage NPI procurement related activities.

- Bachelor degree or above

Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience in NPD Sourcing or project management role.
- Proven Experience in New Product Introduction as a sourcing analyst in a global company is preferred
- Experience in sourcing mechanical components such as stamping, molding, diecasting, machining, and electronics components such as PCB, PCBA, cable. Technical understanding of these commodities is required.
- Education: Bachelor level degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sourcing/ Procurement or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal English.

- Ensure and Drive MOQ optimization for material/components (incl. finished goods) used by the plant for production and establish supplier agreements, e.g. VMI, EDI, consignment, Scheduling Agreements frame order review, blanket PO)
- Lead the consolidation of Supplier Footprint, incl. setup of new suppliers, reducing number of suppliers
- Ensure that suppliers meet TE compliance requirements (RoHs, Reach, conflict minerals, supplier portals)
- Responsible for contracting of supplier commercial agreements, incl. bailment, inventory management and supply agreements.
- Responsible for conducting QBR’s with strategic suppliers and the drive of respective corrective actions
- Regularly carry out Suppliers risk assessments per business needs
- Ensure data on OV tools is captured and delivered to finance.
- Work with team on ISO Related documents, process and compliance check on regular frequency
- Support the tactical buyer in the following tasks: inventory management components, manage outside product, and block invoices
- Bachelor’s Degree or above, Engineering background - Mechanical Engineering Preferred
- 10+ years of experience in sourcing area
- Experience in Electronics, Stamping, Machining, Molding, especially from connector, connector assembly or cable assembly industry is preferred

•Manage Global Commodity Strategies including spend analysis, Benchmarking, Cost, Market Analysis and Global Technology / Economic trends
•Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships
•Align with Site Sales, Marketing, Technology, Business, Operations, Finance and Quality and Other Honeywell Businesses
•Manage Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes

**Job Description**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Works with stakeholders to address all aspects of procurement management for Contract Manufacturer (CM), including pricing, procurement support, supplier management, supply-base strategy, market trends assessment, etc.
+ Understand business service needs, request for quotation, negotiate pricing, commercial and supply agreements with suppliers.
+ Set up "should cost" study and lead quarterly negotiation with suppliers to achieve quarterly and yearly cost reduction.
+ Manage overall cost with CM, roll-up BOM cost, monitor NRE and other special charges.
+ Negotiate legal contracts such as NDA, GPA with suppliers.
+ Coordinates procurement activities with manufacturing, quality, planning and engineering departments.
+ Establish, implement, and administer system and process to evaluate, monitor, report and manage supplier performance and improvement (incl. QBR's).
+ Monitor commodity market trends, effectively reflect market dynamic in terms of supply, cost, etc.
+ Identify potential sources or suppliers in business manner.
+ Develop and execute a supply-base strategy to meet the Company's business growth and requirements.
+ Identify, develop and manage relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
+ Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Quality to identify and drive cost reduction / avoidance activities.
+ Collaborate with NPI, Engineering, Quality and Operations to effectively manage NPI procurement related activities.
**Qualifications**
REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor degree or above
+ 8 years+ procurement related experience
PREFERRED:
+ Familiar with Contract Manufacturer management
+ Proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment
+ Self-motivated and self-directed, but demonstrated ability to work well with people
