We are now looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our team in Johor Bahru at our brand-new manufacturing facility.
The Production Planner will have a solid background in Manufacturing within the Semiconductor industry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to optimize production schedules to meet business objectives . You will oversee and assist with planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials. This will include responsibility for inventory levels, capacity planning, and on-time shipment.

Key Responsibilities:
Review Oracle MRP and similar applications multiple times weekly, per area to assure timely responsiveness to changes in demand (Customer bookings, safety stock builds, and Master Production Scheduled material fulfillment needs) that trigger updated production planning.
Attend and manage SIOP and R&O meetings for an individual product line(s).
Creates and releases Production Orders in support of the above, with keen awareness of needed completion dates, component and capacity availability, and any other resource issues needed to support on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
Research and analyze root causes of late deliveries in support of corrective actions needed to drive delivery improvement. Also able to perform similar actions proactively for future demand.
Support the ongoing Quality Management by ensuring all applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions comply.
Conduct regular review of inventory levels in areas of responsibility to minimize inventory while assuring adequate component and finished goods stock to support corporate delivery and financial goals; take actions needed to avoid slow and excess inventory.
Based on re-order points or customers’ orders, schedule production orders while optimizing manufacturing sequence .
Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field with 7-8 years' experience in a manufacturing plant, ideally within the Semiconductor industry.
Strong understanding of Production Planning and Scheduling processes.
Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
Strong analytical skills to interpret production data and performance metrics.
Familiarity with ERP systems & knowledge of lean manufacturing principles . Oracle ERP experience is a plus.
Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production and non-production areas to be more efficient and reduce waste.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities- Manage the MPS/MRP process and resolve exceptions in accordance with IBP rules.

Key Responsibilities:- Review Oracle MRP and similar applications regularly to respond to demand changes affecting production planning.
- Attend and manage SIOP and R&O meetings for assigned product lines.
- Create and release Production Orders, ensuring timely completion based on resource availability.
- Research and analyze root causes of late deliveries and implement corrective actions.
- Support Quality Management by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Review inventory levels regularly to minimize excess while supporting delivery and financial goals.
- Schedule production orders based on re-order points and customer orders, optimizing manufacturing sequences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or related field with 7-8 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably in the Semiconductor industry.
- Strong understanding of Production Planning and Scheduling processes.
- Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting production data.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles; Oracle ERP experience is a plus.
- Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

Manage the MPS/MRP process and resolve exceptions in accordance with IBP rules. Master production plan 13-week horizon/ 1 week/ daily release for production plant/cells while keeping in line with agreements made on capacity. Finite production and capacity planning based on factory calendar and EBQs. Ensure the Rough Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP) process and planned production capability exceptions for Supply Points are managed (x production sites and relevant tollers/TPMs). Release production orders to the site in line with agreements made with the site. Review schedule adherence and drive improvement. Manage demand exceptions with Scheduler and SP Manager. Support the site schedulers and site with analyses when needed to create visibility. Work together with customer service/sales to understand customer requirements and incorporate this in the production plan. Drive gatekeeping meetings with other departments and support with providing relevant KPIs to measure performance. Provide impact analysis when needed to show the impact of decisions or scenarios to the plan. Support on reporting where necessary. Balance service level (OTIF) and inventory targets (OWC), whilst understanding cost impacts on manufacturing. Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock. Ensure rework and scrapping at the site/primary DC. Inputs to inventory strategy including safety stock settings on existing, new and phase-out products. Ensure master data correctness & proper housekeeping of transactional data. Support projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of the required planning activities. Experience
University Education (e.g. Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other relevant discipline) with Degree or equivalent qualification. Focused on results. Good problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues, run accurate analyses and synthesize recommendations. Strong desire to challenge and improve the status quo. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and able to work under pressure. Fluent and able to work in English. Understanding and sensitivity to different cultural behaviors.
