The Assembly Technician (CEM) is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electronic and mechanical components or products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The role ensures smooth production flow within the contract equipment manufacturing (CEM) environment, supporting efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

• Assembleelectrical and mechanical componentsfor medium-complexity modules.

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair as needed to ensureperfect functionality.

• Performelectrical and mechanical testingto ensure top product performance.

• Upholdhigh-quality standardsand contribute toprocess improvements.

• Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and quality initiatives.

• Ensure adherence to company safety, quality, and production standards.

• Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.

• 2+ years' experience in mechanical assembly or electrical wiring.

• Fresh graduates with relevant technical training may also be considered.

• Strong skills inreading wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.

• Familiar with setting up and executingelectro-mechanical testing.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume environment (common in CEM).

• Flexible to work shifts and overtime when required.

• As an Operations Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the entire machine assembly process in the semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• You'll be responsible for managing production, warehouse logistics, and ensuring the highest standards of quality control.

• Lead and supervise the machine assembly production team, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Develop and implement efficient production processes to optimize output, minimize downtime, and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to streamline assembly procedures and improve product efficiency.
• Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to meet delivery targets effectively.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with safety regulations.

• Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory control, material handling, and storage procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of the materials and components required for the assembly.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies, damages, and losses, while maximizing inventory turnover.

• Establish and enforce stringent quality control measures throughout the assembly process to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct regular quality audits, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, checklists, and reports with the quality team.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the production and warehouse teams.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and organize relevant training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields.
• An advanced degree or relevant certifications would be advantageous.
• Proven experience of 5 years in semiconductor manufacturing or similar high-tech industries, with a focus on machine assembly and production management.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor assembly processes, equipment, and quality control methodologies.
• Proficiency in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Process optimization emphasizes the use of advanced software.

We are looking to strengthen our team at our site in Malacca .

1. Assemble modules according to technical documents using assembly tools provided.
2. Perform quality checks on own and other staff's assembled modules.
3. Drive quality topics, constantly remind everyone, practice quality awareness, and ensure quality is set as a top priority in all actions.
4. Perform error search/troubleshooting of modules in the test station or in the machine.
5. Responsible for production hour bookings (BDE) and productivity of self and own staff.
6. Maintain housekeeping of work area and assembly in general (parts/modules arrangement, organizing work table, and controlling chemical and tools cabinet).
7. Develop and maintain standardized work instructions for all assigned areas.
8. Complete all necessary assembly reporting and required paperwork.
9. Attend quality, machine planning, and organizational meetings when required.
10. Handle tooling machines when required (hand-drill, drilling machine, lathe machine, grinding machine, milling machine, etc.).
11. Mentor new staff, trainees, and part-timers as assigned.
12. Book modules into stock in PAWH.
13. Follow up on purchase and precision parts required to perform complete assembly.
14. Assist in the creation of procedural documents (SOP/OPL).
15. Perform hands-on assembly when required in Pre or Final Assembly.
16. Lead improvement activities for quality, delivery, cost, and safety objectives, supporting continuous improvement through Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing Process.
17. Develop meaningful alternative solutions to identified ergonomics problems and propose practical design solutions specific to the worksite.

1. Diploma, Advance/Higher Diploma, Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics.
2. Ability to efficiently use all MS Office applications.
3. Good product knowledge.
4. Good planning and organizing, communication, follow-up, and coordination skills.

6. Fluent in verbal and written English & Bahasa Malaysia.
