Paw-cipes, a fast-growing online pet food brand from Malaysia, is looking for a
Video Producer
to join our marketing team full-time (Klang Valley, hybrid). We create scroll-stopping content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook to help pet parents feed better. If you live and breathe storytelling, love being on set (often with cats & dogs), and can take a brief from idea → shoot → edit → publish, this role is for you.

For this role, prior end-to-end production experience is essential. A strong reel/portfolio is required.

What You'll Be Doing:

Pre-Production Pro

  • Lead shoot prep: treatments, scripts, shot lists, storyboards, schedules, location recces, permits, and talent/animal coordination.
  • Translate marketing briefs into clear concepts for product launches, UGC, creator collabs, ads, and brand films.

On-Set Lead

  • Direct and film in studio and on location (run-and-gun to multi-cam).
  • Set up lighting & audio, manage gear, guide talent/handlers, and ensure
    animal-safe
    sets.

Post-Production Vision

  • Define the look & feel for each project (visual references, color direction, sound design, typography, captions/mographs).
  • Communicate with editors
    to achieve the desired outcome: write edit notes, prioritize cuts, manage versions, QC for pacing/hook/retention, and ensure exports are optimized per platform.

Editor & Motion Collaboration

  • Brief editors; provide clarity on storyline, beats, lower-thirds, and supers.
  • Run structured feedback cycles with deadlines; maintain an asset tracker and delivery calendar.

Post-Production Execution

  • Edit when needed (Premiere Pro/Resolve) in multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9), basic color, audio cleanup, captions & light motion.

Production Ops

  • Own production docs: call sheets, moodboards, shot logs, budgets, release forms, and asset trackers.
  • Maintain gear inventory and studio organization.

Creative & Performance

  • Pitch fresh content ideas; cut test variants for A/B.
  • Review performance with marketing (watch-time, hook rate, CTR) and iterate.

Collab & Communication

  • Work closely with brand, e-commerce, and social teams; brief creators/KOLs with clear deliverables.
  • Run occasional errands for shoots (props, pick-ups, deliveries).

  • Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve; Motion graphics: After Effects preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Production & Editing: Conceptualize, film, and edit high-quality video content for various platforms. This includes acting as on-screen talent for short-form content like Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Creative Direction: Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to develop video concepts and storyboards. Use creative skills to suggest and implement ideas for music, graphics, and transitions to enhance the final product.
  • Post-Production: Manage all aspects of video editing, including color correction, audio mixing, adding motion graphics, and applying visual effects in line with brand guidelines.
  • Content Management: Organize and archive video files and assets, ensuring all content is delivered on time and in the correct format for each platform.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software, social media trends, and best practices for creating viral and engaging short-form content.
  • Performance & Promotion: Use your on-camera presence to effectively communicate brand messages, product features, and key information, helping to grow the company's online presence.

Mission

Be the engine of the content matrix: plan, shoot, and manage content output for Hoppi & Alcean. Work with livestream hosts and brand teams to generate raw content that can be sliced into 10+ daily videos. Own the pipeline from idea → shoot → raw delivery.

Responsibilities

Content Planning

·    Align monthly calendar with brand managers & social media leads

·    Plan livestream schedules and video shoots around campaigns & launches

·    Create shot lists and briefs for talent, influencers, and KOL/KOCs

Production & Filming

·    Film lifestyle, product demos, UGC-style and livestream sessions

·    Manage shoot logistics: talent, props, location, equipment, schedules

·    Ensure shoots are optimized to deliver multiple cut-downs (content metric)

Team Leadership

·    Coordinate daily with video editors to prioritize raw footage & turnaround

·    Review and approve edits before delivery to brand/social teams

·    Train & guide editors on creative direction, brand voice, and visual style

Innovation & Workflow

·    Experiment with new content formats (live shopping snippets, trending memes, challenges)

·    Build repeatable workflows for scaling pods into new markets

·    Manage asset library, ensuring footage is organized & reusable

Requirements

· –5 years in videography/content production

·    Skilled in both planning + shooting (can run small productions end-to-end)

·    Strong portfolio of TikTok/IG/YouTube content

·    Tools: DSLR/mirrorless, Premiere Pro/Final Cut, CapCut

·    Creative, trend-sensitive, highly organized

·    Experience with livestream/eCom content a strong plus
