Job Purpose
Support Vice President in managing and administer all the pre & post contract Works for all Rail Systems, Wayside & Equipment's Projects and Consultancy Services as to meet the project objectives in terms of time, cost and quality.
Key Accountabilities
- Support in reviewing Cost Estimate for commercial aspects of Projects CAPEX.
- Support in reviewing Tender Document/ RFP/ RFQ via GPD 3 procurement process.
- Cost Data input in the database system for rail systems, wayside & equipments, etc.
- Support in preparation of Commercial Evaluation Report.
- Prepare checklist for the release of Performance Bonds for compliance to the contract’s requirement.
- Support in reviewing the completeness of Contract Document with respect to Contractual terms and commercial part of the document.
- Participate in joint valuation with Contractors/Suppliers/Project Owner/End User for verification of work done prior preparation of payment certification and other inspection if required such as project completion and defects inspection.
- Check the completeness of payment supporting document prior preparation of payment certificate.
- Check the completeness of supporting document prior preparation of contractual certificates such as VO, CPC/CA, CFIA, CTO, CNC and CMGD.
- Updating monthly project status.
- Assist in all tasks as and when required by the management of Prasarana.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS)/ Engineering / Construction Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of Quantity Surveying (QS) / Engineering / Construction Management experience.
- Building Construction, Cost and Technical Knowledge.

What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare annual budgeting and budget tracking for HQ renovation projects
- Strategically plan and manage HQ office space, including vacant space, occupancy, and space efficiency
- Report on Construction in Progress (CIP) for capitalization asset to Finance
- Verify and check payment submissions related to projects
- Track and monitor ongoing projects to ensure timely completion
- Utilize the e-Procurement System to raise Purchase Requests (PR)
- Act as an I-Supplier user to claim project management fees on behalf of RHB Property Sdn Bhd
- Manage contracts related to groupwide furniture tenders
- Relevant experience in project management, space planning, or facilities management
- Strong budgeting and financial tracking skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in procurement and contract management processes
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of office space optimization and renovation project workflows is an advantage

Job Responsibilities:
- Raise Capex and projects document for plant expenditure in capex.
- Manage the projects to deliver the necessary timelines, specifications, requirements and budgetary expenses.
- Fully in-charge of plant wide project (CAPEX & Process Improvement) segment.
- Review and recommend necessary mitigation if needed based on project charter actions required to bring project back on track or within agreed parameters
- Review and report project progress on a weekly basis, summarize project expenditures for monthly target vs actual.
- Generate monthly reporting CAPEX, cash-flow and Process Improvement initiatives for actual vs target completion.
- Generate and review reporting for all mentioned reports with Engineering Manager on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Coach others on projects management.
- Review with Plant, Reliability & Safety Engineers on prioritization of execution, roadblocks and clearances, JSA, permitting & total project schedules.
- Plan & execute improvement work with ALL stakeholders including production, QA, planner, R&D, Engineering.
- Drive process improvement project initiatives at production lines.
- In-Charge of plant wide facilities repair and upgrade works.
- Supervise to completion all plant project activities that may encroach after normal working hours, weekend or public holidays.
- Be on-call and available for troubleshooting, enquiries and status updates after normal working hours, weekend or public holidays.
- Review and map out potential line automation and software upgrading (eg. PLC, SCADA, etc)
- Daily and monthly production performance monitoring on executed initiatives working with Continuous Improvement Executive.
Key Requirements For Successful Applicant:
- Degree / Masters in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering
- At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in FMCG (Strong technical know-how in GMP & HACCP)
- Strong team player, proactive and drive for results
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- DOSH and OSHAS standards and machinery acts good understanding.
- LEAN, Loss Analysis, Six Sigma Tools knowledge is a plus
- Project Management know-how
- Mechanical : Pneumatics, hydraulics, piping, rotary and static equipment
- Electrical: LV / HT, PLC, motors, controls

As a Project Manager at Hong Leong Assurance Berhad, you will play a vital role in driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives and projects across the organisation. Working within our Information & Communication Technology team, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is a full-time, office-based role based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered as required
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure effective allocation of resources
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the user and all stakeholders
- Liaises between project team, project sponsor and clients
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Participate in the negotiations of contracts and ensure compliance with contract terms for project deliverables and vendors
- Manages multiple small and/or medium-sized projects ensuring project deliverables are brought in on time, within budget and quality targets
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a project management role, preferably within the Information & Communication Technology industry
- Hands-on project management experience in managing IT projects and the required project management artifacts
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project to track project timelines and dependencies
- Any formal project management certification, e.g., PMP / PMI-ACP / CSM, is highly preferred
