International teachers whose first language is English and who have completed a Post Graduate Degree in Education, a Bachelor Degree in Education, a Diploma in Teaching / Education or an equivalent in countries such as The UK, Canada, The US, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa are invited to apply.
OCT, QTS and / or IB Qualifications and experience will be considered an asset.

Introduction
At CHIS, the role of the Assistant Teacher Primary is mainly to be a class assistant who supports student
learning in the classroom, working closely with the Lead Teacher and Co-Teacher. The Assistant Teacher
may be assigned to a particular class or to a year group and work with multiple classes. In addition to
supporting student learning, the Assistant Teacher plays an important role in helping to care for the
wellbeing and safety of students, either in the class or when supervising on the playground, or in the
cafeteria.
As a learning organisation, professional growth is very important at CHIS. All staff take part in regular
collaborative meetings and over time, staff are supported to systematically develop their professional skills
and qualifications. As Assistant Teachers progress and build their skills, there can be opportunities to
transition into becoming a Co-Teacher and a Lead Teacher.

- TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Proven experience teaching English to beginners; experience with diverse cultural backgrounds is a plus.

We are looking for educators specialized in upper elementary levels (Year 3-6) to start at the beginning of August in the APAC timezone (GMT +8).

Imagine a digital primary school with micro-classrooms of seven students from different corners of the globe, learning together with top-notch teachers. We go beyond academics, focusing on social-emotional learning and cultural and environmental awareness through biome-themed units.

We're curating an intuitive educational experience by integrating Ed-tech tools, research, and content. It's a sleek schooling experience for students, educators, and families. The back end? Cross-platform data analysis that provides deep insights into our students' and educators' development. With it, we offer real-time feedback and hyper-adaptive learning paths. What does bina's Teacher do:
- Provide an outstanding educational experience for every student (and their support system)
- Contribute to content curation and creation, collaborating with other educators to perfect your craft

- Provide daily feedback
- Keep the ethical implications of your work front and centre

- Build processes to make future bina classrooms run more smoothly for students and teachers
- Analyse and use the feedback from bina students and the content team to develop new teaching strategies continuously
- Closely collaborate with every other member of the bina team
What We're Looking For:
You have a teaching degree, and preferably a Master's degree in an education-related field. You're an eager educator, quick to adopt new technologies. You're thrilled at the chance to contribute to building the future of primary education, using data and research to guide your decisions. As an active listener, you thrive when collaborating with various players in your team. Your mission? Making sure every child gets precisely the education they need.
You offer:
- 5+ years of teaching experience with children aged 4 - 12 (especially 8-12 years old)
- A Master's degree in Education or an education-related field
- An appetite to test new tools and digital offerings in Ed-tech
- Cultural awareness to ensure bina classrooms are diverse and inclusive spaces
- The drive to grow and learn with ongoing training and support
- A mindset aligned with the values, ethics, and morals of bina
- First language English. Bonus points for additional languages

Responsibilities:
● As a Middle School ELL Teacher , you will provide direct support to students who are English Language Learners (ELLs) in the early stages of English proficiency, helping them develop language skills and succeed academically.
● Create and implement engaging, English-focused lessons to enhance students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Instructions will be seamlessly integrated into subjects like English Language Arts, Bible, and Social Studies, with targeted teaching in a small group setting.
● Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and enhance student learning.
● Utilize a variety of instructional methods, resources, and technologies, including emerging tools like Generative AI, to promote critical thinking and responsible digital citizenship.
● Assess student progress regularly, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of academic performance.
● Identify and address students’ learning needs through diagnostic assessments and tailored instructional strategies.
● Integrate Biblical Worldwide Integration (BWI) throughout the curriculum.
● Prepare lesson plans, maintain documentation, and meet curriculum assessment deadlines.
● Foster strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support academic and behavioural development.
● Uphold classroom discipline through structured plans in alignment with school-wide policies.
● Participate in school activities, including chapel services, extracurricular programs, and professional development initiatives.
● Maintain teaching credentials and engage in continuous professional growth.
● Demonstrate Christian character qualities such as integrity, flexibility, kindness, and enthusiasm.
● Adhere to school policies and procedures while fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree
● Minimum 3 years’ experience working with students
● Teaching credential from a US state, Canadian province or from ACSI (exceptions will be approved by the Academic Board)
● Knowledge of specific subject(s)
● TEFL/TESOL Certification
