The Opportunity Overview of the role WHAT YOU WILL DO OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote a school culture which is positive, purposeful and professional
Support and motivate students, teachers and other school employees

LEARNING
To provide a high quality learning experience for all students
To teach PE lessons from Preschool to Year 6
To contribute to curriculum planning, ensuring a clear scope and sequence for student learning
To keep up to date with the latest pedagogical developments within PE
Promote professional dialogue, share ideas about teaching and learning and support other teachers in developing good practice and new approaches and initiatives
Provide a stimulating, engaging and challenging experience for all students
Provide accurate, constructive and targeted information to parents at Parents' Evenings, in subject reports, incidental meetings and communications
Operate systems for monitoring and improving students' attainment and progress within the subject
Monitor the quality and effectiveness of Assessment, Recording and Reporting in the subject
EXPLORATION PATHWAY ACTIVITIES (EPAs)
To provide extra curricular sports provision during the clubs and activities time
To contribute and further develop the organisation of clubs and activities, by suggesting relevant PE clubs and activities specific to an age range
SUPPORTING WHOLE SCHOOL SPORT & ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Work collaboratively with the Secondary Head of Sport to support the effective running of the sports programme
Take responsibility for a defined area of sports administration to support the secondary Sports department - this may include the coordination of local fixtures assisting with event planning and hosting duties for on-campus competitions, or other operational tasks as required
Ensure effective communication, planning and organisation for assigned responsibilities, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and attention to detail
Contribute to the smooth delivery of school sporting events and represent the school positively in all external sporting engagements
REPRESENTATION OF THE SCHOOL WITHIN THE COMMUNITY
To support in the organisation of and participate in school competitions such as House Competitions, Swim Galas and Sports Days, in liaison with the Head of Primary PE
To assist with the organisation, selection and training of children for PE events, e.g AIMS, FOBISIA.
