Responsibilities & Duties:
Assist in monitoring the performance of solar PV systems using specialized monitoring software and tools.
Support in collecting and organizing performance data from inverters, loggers, meters, and other monitoring devices.
Help identify basic performance anomalies and trends under guidance from the analyst.
Assist in preparing regular performance reports and presentations summarizing key metrics.
Participate in system performance checks and audits to verify compliance with performance expectations.
Help maintain accurate records of monitoring activities, observations, and corrective actions taken.
Support the coordination of communication between internal teams and external vendors when addressing performance issues.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to broaden knowledge of solar PV systems and monitoring processes.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to system performance monitoring and analysis.
Assist in verifying settings for new projects to ensure optimal energy production under supervision.
Requirements:
Academic Qualification:
Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Strong interest in renewable energy and solar PV technology.
Basic understanding of electrical systems or data analysis is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data handling.
Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and a proactive mindset.
Able to commit to a minimum internship period of 6 months or more.
Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: RM1,000.00 per month

Your role as System Support Specialist:
- Provide day-to-day operations support and help investigate and resolve incidents related to the system monitoring tool.
- Configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of system monitoring policies.
- Perform maintenance, upgrades, and patching of supported monitoring tool.
- Work closely with various internal IT teams, not limited to Infrastructure Operations teams, Application Support teams, and Service Owners on managing, proposing and implementing system monitoring.
- Coordinate with external vendor for bugs, vulnerabilities and other issues related to the system monitoring tool.
As a System Support Specialist , having Windows and Linux basic administration skills is essential. Very good knowledge of Shell/Perl scripting will also be an integral part of this role. Basic knowledge of OpenText Operations Bridge Manager , Splunk ITSI or any similar system monitoring tool is a huge advantage.
You are an IT technology aficionado, therefore ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments. You can work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
