Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities:

Financial Accounting and Regional Management Reporting

• Prepare and coordinate the consolidation of financial statements and financial reviews of Kimberly-Clark Asia Pacific entities to facilitate efficient, timely, and accurate reporting of results, reviews, and projections as needed, in accordance with local and US GAAP requirements

• Compilation, submission and reporting of the financial results and other financial information and reporting schedules for Asia Pacific affiliates in accordance with US GAAP to senior stakeholders in the GBS, Record to Report team and Regional Finance Teams

• Ensure that corporate governance is met, taking accountability for effective operation of relevant financial reporting controls

• Assist in better business decisions by provision of financial expertise and insightful analysis

Reconciliation and Integrity of Statutory Financial Statements

• Ensure the integrity of monthly statutory financial statements is maintained by through relevant detailed account reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure the financial records accurately reflect the status of transactions and events.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partners with stakeholders in GBS & across countries in APAC to ensure timely submission of financial reporting deliverables along with building knowledge and expertise in understanding and explaining key business drivers to aid financial reviews and commentary preparation.

Continuous Improvement

• Champion ways to improve financial reporting processes via sustainable and scalable automation, simplification, and standardization initiatives.

• Continuously review and improve financial reporting controls and streamline processes under area of responsibility.

Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities

Financial Accounting and Regional Management Reporting

  • Prepare and coordinate the consolidation of financial statements and financial reviews of Kimberly-Clark Asia Pacific entities to facilitate efficient, timely, and accurate reporting of results, reviews, and projections as needed, in accordance with local and US GAAP requirements
  • Compilation, submission and reporting of the financial results and other financial information and reporting schedules for Asia Pacific affiliates in accordance with US GAAP to senior stakeholders in the GBS, Record to Report team and Regional Finance Teams
  • Ensure that corporate governance is met, taking accountability for effective operation of relevant financial reporting controls
  • Assist in better business decisions by provision of financial expertise and insightful analysis

Reconciliation and Integrity of Statutory Financial Statements

  • Ensure the integrity of monthly statutory financial statements is maintained by through relevant detailed account reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure the financial records accurately reflect the status of transactions and events.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partners with stakeholders in GBS & across countries in APAC to ensure timely submission of financial reporting deliverables along with building knowledge and expertise in understanding and explaining key business drivers to aid financial reviews and commentary preparation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Champion ways to improve financial reporting processes via sustainable and scalable automation, simplification, and standardization initiatives.
  • Continuously review and improve financial reporting controls and streamline processes under area of responsibility.

Job Responsibilities: Support a wide range of financial reporting and analysis requirements, including managing and reporting to stakeholders such as External Auditors, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Group Board of Directors (BOD), and the Group Audit Committee of the Board (ACB), particularly on matters related to accounting standards, regulatory policies, and compliance frameworks. Review Expected Credit Loss (ECL) figures on a monthly basis and act as the secretariat for the Group Impairment Review Committee. Prepare quarterly reporting papers for submission to the ACB and BOD. Lead initiatives for process automation, streamlining, and enhancement. Develop checklists and maintain proper documentation trails for all key processes and procedures. Monitor and follow up on the resolution of audit issues and outstanding matters raised by external auditors. Undertake ad-hoc assignments and other responsibilities related to GFCO as assigned. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Banking/ Business Administration/ Economic Completed Professional Certification i.e. ACCA, ICAEW. More than 3 years of experience in the field of similar role with focus on accounting. Comfortable working in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams and iterative deliverables. Excellent interpersonal and people engagement skills with the ability to build strong relationships. Strong analytical skills with a proficient command of written and spoken English. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive under tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A team player with a collaborative mindset.

The A&I Is Organized Across 3 Pillars


  • Design – Service Oriented point of contact to help customers achieve their reporting needs by designing visual dashboards that make it easy to get and interpret key insights.
  • Data – Facilitating consistent data solutions and definitions to provide a single source of truth for our reporting; improving and streamlining processes to reduce manual work and improve performance and efficiency with control, accuracy, and governance.
  • Development – Rapid prototyping to quickly develop Power BI reports that are consistent, easy to use, and which serve as the primary way for the organization to access standardized information and key insights.

Responsibilities


As a Business Analyst on the Data Team, you will play a crucial role in developing robust business intelligence and data analysis solutions. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Performing data transformation (ETL) and data modelling development, leveraging tools like Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric for robust data handling.
  • Designing, developing, and optimizing complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data for reporting needs.
  • Ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across all solutions.
  • Identifying and resolving issues related to data quality and data pipeline performance.
  • Collaborating with business partners to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Performing high-level complexity troubleshooting for data-related issues.

You will also have the opportunity to support the broader Data Team by:

  • Utilizing learning platforms and professional support to develop and grow your skills in data analytics and data engineering.
  • Learning about best practices, processes, and methodologies utilized within the A&I function for data management and governance.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business Information, Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Technology, or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum 1-year experience developing dashboard using Power BI.
  • Proven experience in handling and processing large datasets using Azure Synapse Analytics or any database/data warehouse tools.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimizing database performance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly desired.
  • Prior experience or exposure to any data preparation applications will be considered.
