Job Description

  • Coordinate and assist in arranging organisational development programmes including corporate social responsibility initiatives, town halls, employee engagement programs and other initiatives for the group to ensure seamless coordination from pre-event until post event.
  • Monitor and manage the development of the talent pool through the Employee Development Programme.
  • Manage and coordinate with learning institutions on partnership programmes for internships and business scholar programme.
  • Assist in driving HR projects and organizational initiatives in partnership with the HR community and stakeholders in the group of companies.
  • Responsible for managing government training grants, the HRDF application process and reimbursements, to ensure compliance and effective handling.
  • Support the development and implementation of training policies and orientation programmes for new employees.
  • Support in sourcing, implementing, and managing training programmes, including programme publicity, effectiveness assessment, record-keeping, administrative tasks related to training activities, and coordination of both in-house and external training sessions for successful execution.
  • Assist HR Business Partners to develop a comprehensive and effective job design, organisation structure and job description that align with business objectives.
  • Perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management/ Organizational Psychology or equivalent.
  • Preferably 2 - 5 years of working experiences
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

The Role

We are looking to hire a Learning & Development Consultant who will be a valuable addition to our Asia-Pacific (APAC) team. The chosen candidate will demonstrate proficiency in data analytics to identify insights and make improvements in our employee listening, learning, and organizational development initiatives. You will contribute significantly to the creation and execution of data-driven strategies aimed at improving employee engagement and driving organizational performance.

The L&D Consultant will report to the Head of Learning & Organisational Development but will support activities across the Talent, Leadership and Learning (TLL) function.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Employee listening:
    • Support SEEK's bi-annual employee engagement surveys, including crafting questions, setting up platforms, presenting with collaborators, executing surveys, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
    • Launch employee listening surveys using SEEK’s preferred platform provider.
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding surveys.
    • Support initiatives around employee engagement and Employee Value Proposition.
  2. Employee development:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to TLL initiatives, programs, and employee listening activities.
    • Identify trends, patterns, and insights from talent, succession, and learning data to advise decision-making.
    • Develop, manage, and track learning programs, career and talent related work/projects.

The Team

This is an individual contributor role in SEEK’s APAC Talent, Leadership and Learning team, which is part of the People & Culture division. Other roles in the team include Senior Learning & Development Consultants, Senior Talent Consultants, and Learning Coordinators.

This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur and will be required to work closely with team members based in Melbourne.

Crucial Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Data Science, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in learning analytics, data analysis, or related fields.
  • Experience in setting up and conducting employee engagement surveys in large organisations is preferred.
  • Ability to craft training needs survey, learning content development, and adult learning approaches.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, including the capability to think strategically about data to deliver valuable insights that support decision-making.
  • Effective communication and facilitation skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.
  • Project management skills, including setup, reporting, change management, and communication.
  • Collaborator and business engagement, with the ability to work across teams and cultures.
  • Preferred experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technology platforms.

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in driving HR change management-related programs/ consulting experience (change enablement strategy and associated interventions, change adoption organization design, digital communication and engagement, training support and business readiness for SAP S/4HANA is an advantage)
  • Experience in other related areas such as HR & Talent Management, Learning & Collaboration or Human Capital & Organization Effectiveness (e.g. Organization Design, Culture Transformation, Leadership Effectiveness etc) is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Comfortable working with digital solutions in an information systems/technology-driven environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create and deliver high-impact communications to senior audiences (written and oral) and facilitate complex discussions.
  • Strong executive level relationship building skills.
  • Ability to articulate the business value of recommendations/plans/strategies
  • Ability to interpret data, work with analytic models and advanced technologies and digital tools (e.g. cloud HR, behavior change packages, immersive learning)
  • Ability to effectively manage stakeholders in a multi-cultural and global environment

    Key Responsibilities:


  • Support Change Management leads in creating Change Strategy / Change Plan, develop stakeholder engagement plan, design different change management initiatives, plan and design communications interventions and enable training upskilling of people impact by change.
  • Will be expected to leverage the insights coming from the change management related data and analytics to design change strategies. You will be expected to know how to conduct change impact analysis, how to conduct stakeholder analysis, how to design various change management initiatives and how to drive change adoption.
  • Will be part of a collaborative dialogue with client sponsors/ leadership to align on key messages and desired behavior shifts. Conduct stakeholder analysis and develop stakeholder engagement and communications plan.
  • Will have a knowledge and experience of new generation change management tools and techniques such as change management related analytics tools, change control tools, behavioral and culture change tools, etc.
  • Will define metrics and measure business adoption and business benefits realization. Ensure key messages are communicated accurately and timely using innovative channels, to capture the hearts and minds of stakeholders. Measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.


  • Job Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 8 years of HR change management/consulting experience is expected for Manager Level.
  • Experience in other related areas such as HR & Talent Management, Learning & Collaboration or Human Capital & Organization Effectiveness (e.g. Organization Design, Culture Transformation, Leadership Effectiveness etc) is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Comfortable working with digital solutions in an information systems/technology-driven environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create and deliver high-impact communications to senior audiences (written and oral) and facilitate complex discussions.
  • Strong executive level relationship building skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as the steward of the organisation’s structural framework, overseeing job evaluation processes to ensure accurate grading, internal equity, and opportunities for career progression.
    • Design and sustain a comprehensive skills framework that enables transparent career pathways, effective succession planning, and targeted employee development.
    • Proactively identify critical skill gaps and collaborate with the Learning & Development team to create tailored upskilling initiatives, encompassing technical expertise, soft skills, leadership training, and coaching to build future-ready capabilities.
    • Apply talent profiling and assessment methodologies to recognise high-potential individuals and support strategic internal mobility for capability enhancement.
    • Develop and oversee personalised development plans for top-performing employees, ensuring their growth is tracked and their contributions are optimised within the organisation.
    • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at improving talent retention and engagement, with a focus on key employee groups.
    • Administer the organisation’s coaching and mentoring programmes to foster leadership growth and support targeted employee development.
    • Collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partners to enable strategic internal talent placements, aligning individual career aspirations with organisational continuity and needs.

    Key Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • At least 8 years of professional experience in talent development or talent management .
    • Demonstrated ability to design and implement customised training and development frameworks that support career advancement and talent mobility.
    • Strong proficiency in using data and analytics to guide decision-making and improve talent mobility outcomes.
    • Solid understanding of competency models and talent assessment tools; prior experience in job evaluation is highly advantageous.
    • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the capability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
    • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities, with a proven track record of driving collaborative learning and development initiatives.
