The Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring employees are compensated accurately and in compliance with regulations, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
About the Role
Your main role is responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees. This role involves managing of payroll records, calculating and validate all pay element comes from our vendor, and addressing any payroll-related inquiries raise from associates. The Payroll Specialist must stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations, and collaborate well with both internal & external stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll processing. Our ideal candidate is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and good knowledge of payroll regulations and practices. We value integrity, strong organizational skills and effective team players.
Responsibilities
- Manage end to end employees' payroll processing by consolidate of time-and-attendance and payroll master data and other payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, promotions) in adherence to company timeline
- Support all payroll tool and system upgrades
- Ensure payroll procedure are compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
- Support and assist in internal and external audits related to payroll records.
- Maintain consistent, complete, accurate and timely records and prepare all necessary reports and dashboards
- Response promptly to payroll-related inquiries within stipulated service level agreement and provide sustainable resolution to any concerns raised by employees
Qualifications
- BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field.
- At least two years of solid working experience in regional payroll (shared services) function.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with payroll software, HRIS and MS Office (specifically Excel).
- A keen eye for details and analytical mind.
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent time management skills and sense of urgency to ensure we are adhered to pay & legislative deadlines.
- Good command in written and verbal communication in English is a must and Fluency in any other languages is a plus.
- Experienced in payroll process improvements or consolidated project shall be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Chinese.

Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Payroll processes for the countries within area of responsibility.
What You Will Do
As a Payroll Specialist in Tetra Pak, you will:
- Executes payroll processes and payments accurately and in a timely manner Ensures proper updates are made in relevant local payroll / time management systems. Leads the income tax related matters.
- Guarantee the interface with external payroll provider, manages time and attendance and payroll systems and the accurate accounting process related to payroll. Manage local external providers and approve related invoices.
- Ensure accurate payment for expatriates, following global instructions from Global Mobility. Guarantee correct tax application and social security, applying existing countries treaties.
- Responsible to guarantee payments, reports and other requests from external labour entities as (Tax Authorities, Social Security, Labour Ministry, Labour Courts, etc).
- Administers benefits and welfare/recognition programmers including handling of employee benefit claims such as insurance and medical claims. Generates related reports and statistics for stakeholders as well as supporting audits where relevant.
- Manage, track and follow up on employee queries in the ticket handling system. Builds a knowledge inventory of frequently asked questions to expedite resolution of queries accurately. Guides and points employees and managers to information on HR selfservice portal (ORBIS) in order to foster a habit of finding the necessary data on the portal
- Manages and ensure integrity of master data in relevant management system on timely and accurate basis.
- Participates in adhoc projects as appropriate.
- At least 3 - 5 years of experience in Payroll area.
- Good knowledge of labour and industrial laws and prevailing HR practices and taxation principles.
- Have regional payroll experience in Oceania market.
- Proven data management / analysis skills

We believe you have

- Oversee full-cycle payroll, ensuring accurate payments and compliance with statutory requirements (PCB, KWSP/EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF).
- Maintain payroll systems, prepare reports, and support audits.

Overview:
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of inhouse payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while ensuring full compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with statutory regulations, income tax, and the implications relating to international employee transfers, severance schemes and new payroll policies.
This role is part of the regional payroll team that administrates payroll for 16 countries, reporting to the Regional Payroll Leader.
What will you do?
- Manage the full spectrum of inhouse payroll processing across multiple countries; Singapore, Philippines and Australia. This includes periodic payroll activities (eg.monthly/quarterly/annual) such as employee income tax filing and year end statutory adjustments.
- Partner with Payroll Processors to ensure payroll deliverables, payroll timelines and payroll accuracy are met. Ensure compliance with work processes, internal controls, company policies and legislative policies.
- Check payroll results, payroll reports, bank files, statutory and tax filing documents.
- Partner with Payroll Processors to improve payroll processing timeliness and quality of work.
- Ensure proper payroll documentation and storage are done; document retention, document maintenance and document creation. This includes participating in the development or adjustment of procedures related to payroll operations. Maintain/Create Standard Operating Procedure documentation.
- Participate in Country/Regional/Global Projects.
- Drive payroll system enhancements. Partner with Payroll Processors on system UAT.
- Point of Contact for Escalation; manage partners, stakeholders, and system vendor.
- Analyze complex matters requiring comprehensive knowledge of payroll policies and procedures. Respond to employee queries within stipulated timeframe as per service level agreement. Provide appropriate advice to stakeholders and be a mentor to peers.
- Embed continuous improvement as part of our DNA to provide seamless employee experience.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business / HR / Mathematics / Accounting /Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in a multi-country capacity.
- Knowlege in Singapore statuatory is a must have.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail, analytical skill, and ability to manage sensitive data with maturity and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across cultures and functions.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

The Role: Regional Payroll Specialist
What will you do?
- Responsible for the full spectrum of in-house payroll administration, ensuring payroll result accuracy and timeliness, and audit risk free.
- You will be part of the regional payroll team that administrates payroll for more than 10 countries.
- Process in-house payroll using a payroll system for the assigned countries.
- Review payroll advice, perform and validate payroll calculations and reconciliations in compliance with the payroll calendar, company policies and income tax & statutory regulations.
- Meet service expectations on payroll accuracy and timeliness and achieve successful audits.
- Prepare and submit Payroll Reports, Statutory Reports, and Income Tax Reports.
- Participate in projects to drive work simplification, digitization, and automation.
- Manage stakeholders and employees; query handling, communication, and training.

About The Opportunity
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing end to end payroll for a US regions.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll impacting changes, tax forms, payments, and payroll processing for assigned clients
- Responsible for quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy and low error or defect percentage

- Have an “I own it” attitude about deliverables and projects from start to finish

- Proactively manage quarter and year-end payroll auditing
- Think and act ahead, spot opportunities and act accordingly and proactively Contribute to process improvements

College Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting / taxation, or related discipline Minimum of 2 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing Knowledge of regional payroll is preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times with the ability to prioritize work when there are competing demands and urgent business needs. Self-starter capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction Process and detail oriented. Able to multi-task. Good verbal and written communication skills

The Role: Regional Payroll Specialist What will you do? Responsible for the full spectrum of in-house payroll administration, ensuring payroll result accuracy and timeliness, and audit risk free. You will be part of the regional payroll team that administrates payroll for more than 10 countries. Process in-house payroll using a payroll system for the assigned countries. Review payroll advice, perform and validate payroll calculations and reconciliations in compliance with the payroll calendar, company policies and income tax & statutory regulations. Meet service expectations on payroll accuracy and timeliness and achieve successful audits. Prepare and submit Payroll Reports, Statutory Reports, and Income Tax Reports. Participate in projects to drive work simplification, digitization, and automation. Manage stakeholders and employees; query handling, communication, and training. What qualifications will make you successful? Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ HR/ Mathematics/ Accounting. 2-3 years of payroll experience preferred. An appetite for challenges and driving changes.
