THE ROLE:

THE PERSON:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Partnering
  • Provide HR consultation, partnership and assistance to HR COE, Functional HRBP, Business Leaders and other relevant stakeholders in all corporate HR programs and its related ad-hoc projects at multiple regional sites.
  • Provide best in class recommendation and valued feedback to business leaders, HR COE and other stakeholders in relation to regional HR programs.
  • Partner with Site Leaders and site leadership to drive site goals, planning and it's activities.
  • Provide guidance and recommendation to managers on compliance and performance management and the Next 5%.
  • Serve as business point of escalation for people and HR policy and process.
  • Partner with HR COE and Business Units for regional HR communication, HR program awareness and project execution.
  • Provide input and recommendations on development of HR and related policies in the business functions.
  • Identify and drive best HR practices across function and regional sites for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to strengthen employer branding, talent pipeline, university relation and talent retention.
  • Partner with Learning and Development to drive corporate and regional learning activities.
  • Encourage and drive business for Diversity, Belonging and Inclusion at the regional sites.
  • Partner with Employee Relations and Business on employee's Performance Improvement Plan and disciplinary.
  • Partner with Total Rewards to collect employee feedback, drive TR awareness, and sharing of regional market intelligence

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong HRBP background,analytical and people/conflict management skillset.
  • Able to build strong relationships and trust within the business, HR COEs and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate data driven decision making, analytical skills and problem solving in day to day partnership with business ad HR COEs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to adapt and navigate in VUCA environment.
  • Possess strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to 'connect the dots' and see the big picture.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

As the People Business Partner Manager, you play a critical role in developing and supporting the execution of talent management programs and processes that are cascaded down from the APAC Director of Talent. The programs are focused on attracting, retaining and developing top talent at Tarro. Our talent programs and initiatives are created to be in line with the overarching people strategy at Tarro.

What you’ll accomplish:
  • You will work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention

  • You will resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances

  • You will provide HR policy guidance

  • You will analyze trends and metrics with the People department

  • You will support and execute HR initiatives to achieve our overall business goals

  • You will identify training needs for teams and individuals

  • You will recommend initiatives that integrate business strategy with people management practices

  • You will drive efficiency, standardization and strategic HR impact

One year deliverables:
  • Support the Global Talent Management Director with the harmonization of performance management processes

  • Build relationships with frontline managers and leaders, establishing yourself as an expert and consultant in supporting their department goals with employee relations, retention as well as talent planning and forecasting

About you:
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management or relevant field

  • You have at least 5 years experience in a Employee Relations with 2 years experience in managerial role

  • You have experience working in data, reporting and analytics

  • You have excellent written and verbal communications

  • You have experience in supporting a global organization, rolling out globally aligned talent programs within a local context

Bonus points:
  • You have experience in a consumer driven industry with a passion for the customer.

  • You have experience working with Rippling, BambooHR, Confirm and/or Pave.

Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable leading multiple assignments KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Partnering Provide HR consultation, partnership and assistance to HR COE, Functional HRBP, Business Leaders and other relevant stakeholders in all corporate HR programs and its related ad-hoc projects at multiple regional sites. Provide best in class recommendation and valued feedback to business leaders, HR COE and other stakeholders in relation to regional HR programs. Partner with Site Leaders and site leadership to drive site goals, planning and it's activities. Provide guidance and recommendation to managers on compliance and performance management and the Next 5%. Serve as business point of escalation for people and HR policy and process. Partner with HR COE and Business Units for regional HR communication, HR program awareness and project execution. Provide input and recommendations on development of HR and related policies in the business functions. Identify and drive best HR practices across function and regional sites for continuous improvement. Partner with Talent Acquisition to strengthen employer branding, talent pipeline, university relation and talent retention. Partner with Learning and Development to drive corporate and regional learning activities. Encourage and drive business for Diversity, Belonging and Inclusion at the regional sites. Partner with Employee Relations and Business on employee's Performance Improvement Plan and disciplinary. Partner with Total Rewards to collect employee feedback, drive TR awareness, and sharing of regional market intelligence PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong HRBP background,analytical and people/conflict management skillset. Able to build strong relationships and trust within the business, HR COEs and stakeholders. Demonstrate data driven decision making, analytical skills and problem solving in day to day partnership with business ad HR COEs. Excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to adapt and navigate in VUCA environment. Possess strong influencing skills. Ability to 'connect the dots' and see the big picture. Excellent communications and presentation skills, time management, prioritisation and multi-tasking abilities. Job Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partner:

  • Building collaborative relationships with business leaders, anticipating, and addressing business-specific needs.
  • Actively participate in business planning and strategy sessions, demonstrating a solid understanding of HR policies, analytics, and processes, as well as the specific nature of the business.

Trusted advisor:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business functions on all people-related matters, fostering strong relationships, and serving as the go-to resource for HR guidance.

Performance and Reward Management:

  • Managing the Annual Performance Review, Annual Salary Review and Promotion Cycles.
  • Coaching people leaders on performance management strategies and processes (e.g. Annual Performance Review, PIP, etc)
  • Provide expert guidance on performance and reward management to business functions.
  • Advise on appropriate benchmarks tied to productivity, ensuring alignment of staff compensation with performance outcomes.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the reward strategy for the function, in line with market practices, benchmarks and corporate guidelines.

Industrial & Employee Relations:

  • Manage grievances and disciplinary procedures including conducting investigations, preparing the necessary disciplinary letters, and conducting domestic inquiries, ensure fair resolution in accordance with company policies and local employment laws.
  • Discuss improvement opportunities on employee relations matters with employees or managers.
  • Ensuring HR activities and advice comply with relevant policies and ethical standards, legal business obligations and legislations.
  • Communicate and implement HR policies changes in line with labour law requirements.
  • Representing company for cases involving escalation at IR office, Labour office and Industrial Relations Court when necessary.

Talent Management:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of talent within the function and drive talent development initiatives.
  • Collaborating with the functions to identify key talent and drive succession planning.
  • Collaborate with function head to identify future talent requirements and strategies for key hires and developing potential talent.

Employee Engagement:

  • Partner with line management to foster a positive workplace environment through employee communication, engagement and implementing measures to embed the company's purpose and values across the organization.

Operational Excellence:

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and legislative changes, proactively making necessary adjustments to company policies and practices and ensure full compliance with local labour laws.
  • Partner with Hiring Manager and Talent Acquisition team to ensure efficient hiring of open plant positions.
  • Driving the training and development programmes by conducting training needs analysis, designing & evaluating annual training plans.
  • Managing employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Liaise with immigration authorities to process work visas/passes for expatriates, ensuring adherence to Malaysian regulations.
  • Administer employees benefits programmes such as health insurance, flexible benefits, leave etc.

Change Management:

  • Identify issues requiring change management interventions due to organizational, policy, or personnel changes.
  • Collaborate with line managers and relevant teams to implement effective change management solutions.

Other assignments:

  • Lead or participate in HR projects.
  • Execute short/ long-term HR initiatives in line with companys direction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum 8-10 years of HR experience, including handling disciplinary actions and industrial relations/HR Business Partner.
  • Proven experience in misconduct investigations, grievance handling, and compliance management.
  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and regulations is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Independent, proactive, and detail-oriented with a focus on driving change.
  • Project and Change Management skills would be an advantage.
  • Willing to work at Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
