We are seeking a talented Oracle Developer with experience in Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle ADF , or PL/SQL to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Oracle technologies. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in at least one of the following: Oracle Forms , Reports , ADF , or PL/SQL , and be capable of delivering efficient, scalable solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

Application Development:

Develop and maintain applications using Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle ADF.

Write and optimize complex PL/SQL scripts, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

Build and manage ADF components and workflows to implement business logic.

System Analysis and Design:

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand system requirements and design effective solutions.

Analyze existing applications to identify improvements and enhancements.

Design and implement efficient database schemas and application architectures.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize queries and tune PL/SQL code to ensure application performance and stability.

Diagnose and resolve performance issues across Oracle environments.

Integration and Deployment:

Integrate Oracle applications with external systems and APIs as required.

Ensure smooth and reliable deployment of applications into production environments.

Support application testing, debugging, and post-deployment maintenance.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation including workflows, data models, and system architecture.

Provide regular updates and reports on development progress and project status to stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

Required:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Oracle application development, with a strong focus in at least one or more of the following:

Oracle Forms

Oracle Reports

Oracle ADF

PL/SQL

Proven experience in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting PL/SQL code (procedures, functions, packages, and triggers).

Solid understanding of relational databases, Oracle database structure, and data modeling.

Experience with ADF Business Components, Task Flows, or relevant Oracle UI technologies (where applicable).

Ability to analyze system requirements, perform gap analysis, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Familiarity with SDLC, and working knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.

Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and managing application scalability.

Ability to document technical specifications, workflows, and system designs.

Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and debugging skills.

Preferred:

Experience in integrating Oracle applications with external systems or APIs.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).

Exposure to deployment practices and post-production support in enterprise environments.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Willingness to learn new Oracle technologies or tools as required by the project.

• Designing and developing distributed applications using Oracle Tuxedo middleware platform
• Writing efficient, scalable, and reliable code in programming languages such as C & C++ to implement application logic
• Configuring and managing the Oracle Tuxedo environment, including setting up application servers, managing resources, and optimizing performance
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system administrators, and database administrators, to gather requirements, design application architecture, and ensure seamless integration
• Developing and maintaining documentation for applications, including code comments, technical specifications, and system configurations

Designing and developing distributed applications using Oracle Tuxedo middleware platform Writing efficient, scalable, and reliable code in programming languages such as C & C++ to implement application logic Configuring and managing the Oracle Tuxedo environment, including setting up application servers, managing resources, and optimizing performance Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system administrators, and database administrators, to gather requirements, design application architecture, and ensure seamless integration Developing and maintaining documentation for applications, including code comments, technical specifications, and system configurations Performing unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the applications meet functional and performance requirements Conducting performance tuning and optimization of Oracle Tuxedo applications Keeping up to date with the latest Oracle Tuxedo platform updates, technologies, and best practices in distributed application development Providing technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and software development best practices

Ensuring timely completion of business application coding based on document technical designs and specifications. Undertaking comprehensive unit and integrated testing in accordance with SDLC standards. Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities as well as ensuring proper and complete UAT sign-off on business applications. Assist in developing project schedule and post implementation review activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

§ To be responsible for application coding using prescribed development tools within defined project schedule and compliance with prescribed Allianz project standards and existing SDLC methodology

§ To develop test plan, data and undertake complete unit and modular testing activities

§ To ensure all documentation of all coding changes and enhancements are in compliance with existing procedures

§ To ensure UAT completion and sign-off by users

Note:
It is preferable for candidates to have hands-on experience of at least one year in ADF. Reason being, the system theyll be working on is huge and have many business validations, would prefer them to only have to keep up on functionalities instead of both technical and functionalities.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Candidate must possess at least a Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science or equivalent

Must have at least 4 years of development experience in Java ADF applications

Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills as well as detail oriented

Good in verbal and written English communication skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritizing in managing workloads and to meet deadlines

Experience in Insurance Industry is an added advantage

Technical skills required :

- Oracle ADF Development (prefers version 11g and above), ADF Faces (Taskflows), ADF Business Components (AM, VO, EO)

- PL SQL/Store Procedure experience (add advantage)

***MUST use MVC Concept to maintain the system.
