About the Role
We are looking for a technically skilled Field Service Engineer to support our water and wastewater treatment projects across Malaysia. This is a field-intensive role that requires on-site troubleshooting, system optimization, and close coordination with plant operators and operations & maintenance (O&M) teams.
Note: This role may involve support at client facilities in the food & beverage sector , including non-halal (alcoholic beverage) manufacturing plants . Applicants should be comfortable working in such environments, adhering to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance of water treatment systems and associated equipment (pumps, valves, membranes, instrumentation).
- Support system commissioning, start-up, and shutdown activities across various plant sites.
- Analyze plant data (via SCADA or digital dashboards) to ensure performance meets operational KPIs.
- Work closely with site-based engineers to resolve critical operational issues.
- Prepare and submit detailed technical service reports and root cause analysis documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Product, Sales) for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Provide basic training and technical guidance to site technicians and plant operators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field).
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in water treatment, wastewater, or process plant operations.
- Strong understanding of MBR, RO, UF, and conventional water treatment systems.
- Proficient in using SCADA/DCS and digital tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays, to support project and client needs.
- Comfortable working in diverse industrial environments, including alcoholic beverage manufacturing facilities.
