Requirements

* At least 1 year relevant experience in construction projects

* BCSS certificate

* Bachelor Degree in civil engineering or relevant major is preferred.

* May be required to work overtime when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Site Inspection and Reporting

• Conduct preliminary inspections at potential construction sites.
• Gather data and prepare site reports.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

Collaboration and Coordination

• Collaborate with subcontractors, clients, crews, and consultants.
• Coordinate joint measurement activities and forward planning.
• Organize and participate in regular contractor meetings.

Technical Advice and Problem Solving

• Provide technical advice and diagnose site issues.

Project Planning and Progress Monitoring

About the role

As a Site Engineer at IH Development SDN BHD, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of civil and structural engineering projects in Kuching, Sarawak. Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer with expertise in post-tensioning, stay cable, bridge bearings, expansion joints, structural monitoring and repairing etc. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects involving post-tensioned and pre-stressed structures, ensuring quality standards, safety compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and execute post-tensioning and other installation activities on-site.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor the installation of post-tensioning systems and other products, ensuring adherence to design and quality standards.
• Conduct inspections, quality control checks, and ensure safety regulations are strictly followed.
• Prepare daily reports on project progress, site activities, and any potential delays or issues.
• Liaise with clients and consultants for project updates and requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges encountered on-site.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in post-tensioning, stay cable, bridge bearings, expansion joints, structural monitoring and repairing etc.
• Proven work experience with one or more of the following: VSL, Freyssinet, BBR, or Utracon .
• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
