Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, Field Modification Instructions (FMI) and troubleshooting on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols, to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensure documentation of all work performed is captured, including the ordering of parts.
- Acts as the primary GEHC Services face to the customer. Responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of designated equipment and drives customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.
- Maintain all models of Imaging Modality.
- Perform total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom issues.
- Maintain daily interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues, to ensure satisfaction of primary customers.
- Assist in Account Sales visits, help train others where necessary, and identify Sales opportunities and communicate them to account team.
- Responsible for Warranty and Preventive Maintenance Service contract cost control.
- Complete all administration tasks on time (e.g., ensure timely completion of FMI and Preventive Maintenance Service inspections documentation for assigned accounts).
- Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.

Overview
The Field Service Engineer perform routine customer support activities involving the installation, modification, upgrade, repair, and preventive maintenance of complex equipment and systems to ensure proper working order. This role is responsible to install new system, warranty support, on-site service includes mentoring customers in the operation, maintenance of the system, and recommending continuous improvement. The successful candidate has the ability to work under general instruction with following established policies and procedures to ensure company and customer quality standards are met. In addition, this person will work on problems of moderate scope and demonstrates judgment within a defined procedures and practices with minimum supervision to determine appropriate action.
Responsibilities
- Install, modify, upgrade, repair and perform preventive maintenance procedure on equipment and systems following SOP policies, procedures and work direction of supervisor or site lead.
- Train customer personnel in equipment operation.
- Interface with customer, Technical Service Support, and factory to ensure customer satisfaction with equipment and service levels.
- Conform at all times to Veeco and customer’s safety, cleanliness, and working protocol policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Prepare SARs, and other reports as required in a timely and efficient manner.
- React to change productively and perform other duties as assigned.
- Attend seminars/conferences on pertinent topics to increase the Veeco knowledge base of standards or innovative ideas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in electronics, physics, robotics; material science and engineering; mechanical engineering or related field with minimum two years’ experience preferably in solvent cleaning or photolithography equipment technology.

How You’ll Make An Impact
- Provide Technical Field Advice, Supervision and perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, refurbishment, and repair of high voltage transmission equipment and systems in the field.
- Conduct solving and diagnostics of high voltage transmission equipment to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical support and expertise to customers, field service engineers, and other internal collaborators (including offer and project management teams)and collaborate with engineering and Sales & PM teams to provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements and modifications.

- Electrical Degree or equivalent experience with more than 4 years’ working experience in field service engineering within the high voltage transmission industry (including ‘hands-on’ experience with new installations and service)
- In-depth knowledge of high voltage transmission equipment, such as transformers, AIS & GIS switchgear, circuit breakers, and related control systems.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and software (including remote headset technology) used in the high voltage transmission industry.
- Strong problem-solving and fixing skills, with the ability to work independently in demanding field environments.
- Ability to improvise and willingness to experience unpredictable situations
- Any certification related to Siemens Energy GIS, AIS, or power transformers would be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally to various field locations and work flexible hours as needed

The Field Service Engineer's (FSE) primary role is to perform services on customer
sites: installation supervision, commissioning, preventive & corrective maintenance,
modification of Gutor UPS systems and batteries.
The FSE works on both, on- and offshore sites, nuclear and is in direct contact with
the customer. Thus, the FSE is the connection between the customer and Gutor’s
technical and commercial Customer Service teams.

- To perform field service (customer site service) activities involving the installation supervision, commissioning, maintaining, modification, onsite training, system upgrade and repair of complex Gutor AC & DC UPS equipment.
- Responsible for a region or subgroup of field services.
- Performs installation supervision and commissioning of Gutor products including the batteries.
- Performs maintenance for Gutor UPS equipment including batteries.
- Trains customers on equipment operation and maintenance of Gutor products.
- Represents Gutor in dealing with customer concerns.
- Responsible for identifying and reporting failure modes encountered when in the field. Also responsible for determining the cause of these failures.
- Solve UPS problems at customers site and provides reports on these issues.
- Providing 24hrs telephone support for customers.
- Acquisition of Customer Service products.
- Support internal for spare parts warranty, preparation, assembly, onsite training and etc.
- Improve on site report and process.
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical / Electronic engineering
- Computer literacy is necessary.
- 2-3 yrs exp. in Oil & Gas sector, Power Generation or UPS technical experience is an added advantage.
- Fresh graduate in Electrical / Electronic engineering.
- Willing to travel up to 90% within international (onshore & offshore).
- Computer literate and fluent in spoken English and others country language will add advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to function successfully across multiple cultures and nationalities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
- Ability to interface with all functional areas of the company.
- Global flair
- Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Every other language is an advantage.
- Technical and practical knowledge of UPS systems in commercial or industry type.
- Knowledge of Innorsoft, and Siebel/Orcacle CX and SAP will be add advantage.
- Knowledge of site report preparation process is a plus.
- Team and customer oriented.
- Highly motivated, responsive, and energetic individual.
- Well prepare person.
- Time management.
- Work under pressure.
