The new role :
- Marketing Leadership – Solar Industry
- Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to promote solar energy solutions, including PV systems, BIPV, and solar leasing.
- Enhance brand positioning through public relations, digital campaigns, and participation in renewable energy events.
- Manage digital marketing initiatives (SEO, SEM, social media) and content development to drive lead generation and customer engagement.
- Conduct market intelligence to monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and new market opportunities within Malaysia’s solar sector.
- Sales & Business Development
- Lead the sales team to achieve revenue goals across various solar segments (commercial, industrial, utility-scale).
- Identify, pursue, and secure high-impact business opportunities such as government tenders, corporate PPAs, and solar farm projects.
- Establish and grow strategic relationships with developers, EPCs, and financial institutions.
- Develop effective pricing models, manage sales pipelines, and lead contract negotiations for solar projects.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with technical, operations, and finance teams to assess project viability and ensure profitability.
- Mentor and lead the marketing and sales teams to foster a results-driven, collaborative work environment.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), adjusting marketing and sales strategies to optimize outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance & Innovation
- Ensure marketing and sales practices comply with relevant solar policies and incentives (e.g., NEM, FiT, tax benefits).
- Drive product innovation based on market needs, including integration of technologies like energy storage and EV charging.
- Reporting & Strategy
- Deliver regular reports on sales forecasts, ROI analysis, and market expansion strategies to senior management.
Requirements:
- University degree in Marketing/Business/Management/Engineering or equivalent
- Required Languages: English and Malay; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate sales, key accounts, or related fields.
- Experience in logistics, FMCG, or food and beverage industries is advantageous.
- Experience in Logistics/Warehouse industries is an advantage.
- Excellent commercial and communication skills.
- Proactive and positive approach to customers internally and externally.
- Strong mathematical/statistical and presentation skills.
- Highly proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint & Excel).
- Capable of utilizing Business Intelligence tools.
