POSITION SUMMARY

What you’ll be doing: We are hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to treat our patients in a wide array of urgent care needs. A typical day will include:

• Obtain an adequate history and performs an appropriate physical examination for the presenting problem
• Order pertinent laboratory and radiographic studies as needed based on the initial evaluation
• Make appropriate therapeutic decisions in conjunction with the patient based on the information gathered
• Administers appropriate medication or treatment as necessary
• Minor surgical procedures

What you’ll bring to the table: Board certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and/or Primary Care Medicine. Previous experience in an outpatient medical clinic or urgent care center.

Primary Role:

  The Registered Nurse – Operating Room will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, caring and compassion are at the center of all that we do. Responsibilities:

• 
  The Registered Nurse – Operating Room serves as the patient advocate while the patient is most vulnerable.
• 
  The circulating nurse is responsible for managing all nursing care within the operating room, observing the surgical team from a broad perspective, and assisting the team to create and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for the patients immediately prior to and during operative procedures.
• 
  The circulating nurse is also responsible for coordinating activities in the event of an emergency. In short, the circulating nurse is the ‘critical thinker,’ preparing for and responding to all situations that affect patient care and safety throughout operative procedures.
