The Technical & Environmental Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support in project implementation while ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements. This role involves preparing engineering drawings, documentation, and operation manuals; coordinating with suppliers and internal teams; and managing submissions to relevant authorities such as the Department of Environment (DOE) and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH). The position also requires staying updated on greenhouse gas (GHG) regulations, supporting applications for government incentives or certifications, maintaining accurate project records, and assisting in organizing company participation in environmental events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically competent, and passionate about environmental compliance and sustainable practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To prepare engineering drawings such as system layout, P&ID & installation drawings.
- To prepare necessary design document and system operation and maintenance manual.
- To cooperate with procurement team and able to liaise/negotiate with supplier for project material purchasing.
- To work together with department head on the system improvement and new product development.
- Gather project information and prepare required documents and drawings for DOE and DOSH approval before, during, and after project implementation.
- Acquire knowledge of GHG-related matters and stay updated with the latest developments.
- Assist in preparing and coordinating applications for government incentives and certifications through relevant agencies, if necessary.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and systematic filing of project documents for easy tracking.
- To perform any other duties as assigned by the head of department from time to time.
Experience / Skill Required
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Chemical/Environmental) or equivalent.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, English.
- At least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required Skill(s): Good analytical skill, team work, positive attitude, strong integrity, strong sense of responsibility, good problem-solving skills, good time management, a genuine interest of the water industry and environmental issues.
- Technical skill(s): proficiency in AUTOCAD drawing

As ourEnvironmental Engineer (Civil & Structure), you will be part of the larger multi-disciplinary Ramboll APAC. You will be key and main person responsible for Environmental Sustainability Design related initiatives and projects support. Your role is based in Malaysia, where you will work within a diverse Civil/Structure Engineering Design team and the SMART Building team. You will be involved on a wide range of projects across multiple sectors in Asia, as part of the larger Ramboll Group.
Key tasks and Responsibility
- Identifying new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients.
- Research industry trends, analyse sustainability design consultancy market, and stay updated on competitors to uncover potential areas for growth.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans and goals for the company's growth.
- Developing and executing market entry strategies to expand the sustainability design consultancy and ESG reporting in Asia-pacific.
- Leading Green certification projects, engage with stakeholders and conduct assessment with authority / certification body and obtain final certificate.
- Preparing the necessary documentation and applications required for green certification.
- Conducting assessments and audits to evaluate the environmental performance of existing buildings and identifying areas for improvement and advice on high level costing.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and construction teams to incorporate sustainable design principles and practices into building projects.
Some relevant past experiences within the Consulting environment industry would be a plus, for e.g
Conducting and analyzing environmental impact assessments for various projects to ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations and safeguard environmental quality.
Experience in developing and implementing sustainable practices and policies that balance economic growth with environmental stewardship.
Understanding of local and international environmental laws and regulations to ensure projects comply with legal standards.
Experience in preparing sustainability reports to track progress and report on environmental performance to stakeholders.
Proficiency in environmental monitoring techniques to collect data and assess environmental conditions.
Skills in developing educational programs and campaigns to raise public awareness about environmental issues and sustainable practices.

While experience in building acoustics is a plus—especially as our Kuala Lumpur office looks to grow in this area—the primary focus will be on environmental noise and vibration projects.
About The Role
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and occasionally other regions such as Taiwan, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. As part of this role, you will need to be physically able to conduct testing in sometimes challenging conditions, as it involves conducting ground-borne noise and vibration measurements.
This position is Full-Time.
The Role Includes But Is Not Limited To
- Support project teams in delivering noise and vibration assessments for environmental and building projects.
- Conduct ground-borne noise and vibration measurements in various locations across Southeast Asia.
- Analyse and interpret data, providing actionable insights to clients.
- Prepare 3D noise models using either Cadna or Soundplan;
- Lead client-facing activities, discussing project needs, outcomes, and recommendations.
- Develop and implement acoustic design strategies to meet project requirements, including the specification of materials, construction techniques, and mitigation measures.
- Prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations, effectively communicating complex concepts to clients and project teams.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in acoustics, including changes in regulations, standards, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable engineering/science/physics disciplines, with advanced degree an asset
- Demonstrated interest in noise, acoustics and vibration
- Ability to work in a variety of physically demanding environments
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Superior written and verbal communication skills

This position is Full-Time.
The Role Includes But Is Not Limited To
Support project teams in delivering noise and vibration assessments for environmental and building projects. Conduct ground-borne noise and vibration measurements in various locations across Southeast Asia. Analyse and interpret data, providing actionable insights to clients. Prepare 3D noise models using either Cadna or Soundplan; Lead client-facing activities, discussing project needs, outcomes, and recommendations. Develop and implement acoustic design strategies to meet project requirements, including the specification of materials, construction techniques, and mitigation measures. Prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations, effectively communicating complex concepts to clients and project teams. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in acoustics, including changes in regulations, standards, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.

Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an Environmental Compliance Engineer. As an engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for certifying internal product compliance and collecting data from suppliers on the status of Keysight parts with respect to the European Union’s Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) regulation.
- Analyzing Engineering Bills of Materials (BoMs) and identifying parts that require RoHS compliance status in the system.
- Triggering Material Declaration Requests (MDRs) to manufacturers or authorized Material Compliance Data Providers for RoHS data collection.
- Managing material compliance data from manufacturers, third-party data providers, or Keysight Design/Material Engineers.
- Initiating GSE supplier communication to Keysight suppliers for annual changes and collecting acknowledgments.
- Initiating Supplier Compliance communication to Keysight suppliers and collecting acknowledgments to ensure compliance with Keysight requirements.
- Initiating supplier compliance verification with Keysight suppliers to verify how they comply with Keysight requirements.
A successful candidate should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Supplier Engineering, or a related Procurement environment, or an equivalent qualification
- Typically 2-4 years of relevant experience in Procurement
- The ability to read and understand Bills of Materials (BoMs)
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g., using formulas, manipulating multiple worksheets, formatting data, creating graphs, etc.)
- The ability to meet schedules and deadlines
- A strong focus on ensuring data quality

What Role You Will Play In The Team
- You will be part of our exciting and rapidly expanding Kuala Lumpur Environmental team working and collaborating on a global scale providing advanced technical support to ExxonMobil global operations.
- As an experienced Advanced Air Engineer, you will provide engineering expertise to support our global operations including new projects, focusing on air emissions estimating, monitoring, and control technologies.
- Develop guidance and tools for estimating and measuring air emissions from sources across ExxonMobil global operations.
- Support facilities operations: Provide troubleshooting and operating guidance for air emissions control technology at Oil and Gas and Petrochemical facilities.
- Develop strategies for the selection of air emissions and control technology for projects at Oil and Gas and Petrochemical facilities that meet economic, regulatory, and sustainability targets.
- Collaborate with other global technology experts and project teams to evaluate, develop, and deploy air emissions estimating, measurement, and control technologies.
- Support project development: design, development, engineering and start-up of new and/or modified facilities.
- Proactive collaboration and contribution to assigned teams including technical guidance and mentoring to engineers working on air-related initiatives.
- Visits to operating sites and other international travel may be required.
Skills and Qualifications
- B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5 – 10+ years of experience in developing air emissions estimates, monitoring and/or controls solutions, preferably for the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Industrial sector.
- Demonstrated experience in operating, designing, and/or troubleshooting air emissions control technology (i.e., Flare, Selective Catalytic Reduction, Wet Gas Scrubbers, Electrostatic Precipitators)
- Demonstrated knowledge in estimating and measuring of air emissions and monitoring programs/technology such as CEMS, PEMS, OGI from Oil and Gas and Petrochemical facilities
- Problem solving skills: Identify and implement improvements and apply broad technical and business skills and expertise to solve complex problems.
- English fluency a must oil & gas industry experience preferred
- Flexibility to support a global team, including virtual meetings in mornings and evenings
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
