Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for system upgrades, patch management, security, messaging and cloud infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and network security appliances.
• Keep documentation up to date, including network diagrams, configuration files, and security policies.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious behavior and respond to incidents promptly.
• Administer web security gateways, secure email gateways, endpoint protection platforms, and WAF.
• Handle Level 1 and 2 network troubleshooting to meet SLA targets and escalate issues when needed. Support daily operations of network, security, messaging, and cloud systems, ensuring secure connections between data centers, cloud, and branch offices.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
• Design and implement secure network solutions to defend against advanced threats and attacks.
• Assist cybersecurity team to perform vulnerability assessments and remediation across the network, perform periodic security audits and penetration tests.
• Collaborate with application and project teams to ensure secure deployment of systems and services.

Security Engineer

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field.

Skills

• Good knowledge of technical & administrative skills in various operating systems, including Microsoft Windows & Linux.
• Extensive knowledge of operating system and database security.
• Good knowledge of IT Security Design Architecture, OSI model, TCP/IP model, Network Security and Protocols.
• Good knowledge and experience with security infrastructure (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Anti-Malware, DRM, DLP, vulnerability scanners, etc.).
• Good knowledge and familiarity of IT networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Switches, Routers, RADIUS/TACACS+, etc.).
• Able to develop security concepts, and participation in the definition of secure IT architectures and IT solutions.
• An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability.
• Outstanding decision-making, communication, and organization skills.

Secondary Functions

• To support Sales personnel in sales process, e.g. product features/functionalities clarification, implementation consideration, tender compliance, etc.
• To work closely with Sales personnel to help manage a few strategic accounts
• To conduct POC to secure sales.
• The above functions will be based on products/solutions that company distributes.
  
  

Requirements

• Positive and professional working attitude, ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Hands-on experience on LAN/WAN and security solutions would be an advantage. (Those without can be considered for a junior position)
• Familiar with functionalities of IP networks & routing protocol, BGP, OSPF, DNS, AD, Proxy, etc.
• Ability to work independently but still a team player.
• Territory Qualification preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge / Experience in Firewall, Proxy, Anti-spam, VMware, Load Balancer would be an advantage.
• Those without can be considered for a junior position
• Product certification like Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Check Point CCSE, Bluecoat BCCPP, Brocade BCNP/BCLP would be advantage. *Those without can be considered for a junior position

Job Description

We are looking for a Network Security Analyst to join our team in Cyberjaya.

As a Network Security Analyst, you will be involved in following work instruction-based processes to deliver first-level support for network-related requests and issues. It entails ensuring compliance with customer service level agreements and serving as the primary point of contact for escalated requests and issues

Your core objective is to restore service for the customer as quickly as is possible and, where further escalation is required, provide a single point of contact and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all policies, procedures and work instructions are followed in the interests of customer satisfaction and contractual obligations in a 24x7 environment.
• Customer focus providing consultancy to business clients regarding availability and functionality of services.
• Enforce and review MS process to ensure documentation is current and to provide management escalation for MS staff.
• Acknowledgement and qualification of NMS alerts and open causes with the
  
  

appropriate priority level.

• Diagnoses of problems and provide solutions to achieve service restoration.
• Provide first and second level technical support for customer fault escalations.
• Escalation as required of cases to internal, management and third-party vendors.
• Remote diagnostic troubleshooting and checks for customer incidents.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in a NOC or Data Centre support environment.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or any equivalent professional degree.
• Industry certification with one or more of the following NSE/CCNA/Aruba is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MS office packages.
• General understanding of LAN/WAN/Voice/Security/Server technologies.
• Able to work on 12 hours rotational shift (Including weekends)

Accountabilities:

• An in-depth and practical understanding of networking offering- especially with Cisco technologies in DC Network, Security and WAN. A general familiarity is also expected for Campus Network and Cisco Webex platform

Your Qualifications

6. Palo Alto Networks Certified, or Fortinet Network Security Expert.
