What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
- Support the delivery of Cash, Cost, Service, and SNO KPIs for the assigned Area
- As SNO SPOC working with Area Ops/Supply Chain to help achieve Area, DRBU & Region’s targets
- Drive the adoption and implementation of digital transformation initiatives (Integrated Planning Transformation, Hive, Clear Metal, PBI, and other online tools) for the assigned Area
- Drive the people upskilling and capabilities building for the assigned Area
- Facilitate and explore process simplification working with Area, DRBU, Regional VSE, and SNO Transformation team
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for managing the overall network over the entire supply plan horizon
- Responsible for defining the planning zones; frozen, scheduling and planning
- May own activities from following roles (depending on the size and complexities of the Area): Distribution & Inventory or Master Planner
What are we looking for?
- 3-5 years across Planning, Logistic, NPI (Manufacturing & Commercial experience would be an advantage)
- Leading medium and diverse team
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills
- Very good analytical and digital skills
- Very good Supply Chain knowledge (process, metrics)
- Strong knowledge in IWS, CI tools, and agile concept
- University degree (Supply Chain related major could be an advantage)
- Mastery in advanced planning system could be an advantage

YOUR ROLE AS A MANAGER, NETWORK PLANNING
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
- Accountable to identify, evaluate and develop new flying opportunities. Assess various route performance factors such as current demand, growth trend, market fare, competitive landscape, cost structure and commercial strength and provide management with thoroughly researched business cases supported by P&L forecasts on route and fleet decisions.
- Review route network performance in order to detect profitability gaps and provide data-driven suggestions to influence various stakeholders from Revenue Management, Scheduling, Sales and/or Operations toward corrective actions.
- Keep abreast of changing market dynamics from both the demand and supply perspectives, including ethnic connections, labour movements, tourism trends and geopolitical swings, competitor movement, network updates, frequency changes, and gauge adjustments.
- Prepare and represent AirAsia Group Network Planning participation in both internal and external stakeholder engagements. Internal engagements include weekly commercial updates, monthly CEO P&L reviews, and annual budget updates. External engagements include vendor management, conference attendance, market visit and airport collaboration.
- Oversee and responsible for the management and accuracy of key Network Planning datasets such as the Group Route Rollout, Frequency Table, Aircraft Assignment Plans, and ad-hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and guide a team of network planning executives, ensuring timely and high-quality output of route analyses, reports, and stakeholder materials. Provide coaching and development for junior team members.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in aviation related fields, engineering, statistics, economics, or other equivalent qualification.
- Airline / Aviation experience: 5+ years.
- Network Planning, Revenue Management, Commercial/Sales: 2+ years.
- Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to strategic initiatives in consulting, network strategy, or commercial analytics, ideally in aviation or a complex operations-driven environment.
- Knowledge of airline network planning, scheduling, revenue management, sales & distribution along with a sound knowledge of airline economic and financial theory.
- Experience with network planning/scheduling software and airline data sources such as PaxIS/MIDT, OAG/Innovata, Infare and ARMS.
- Experience with MS Office in particular Excel and Powerpoint along with database tool knowledge such as SQL, Big Query or Tableau is a plus.
