Our Edge Platform team takes ownership for planning, building, maintaining and operating our global platform. We design, develop and deploy critical technologies including the hardware, software and network infrastructure that provide the technical underpinnings for all of Akamai's products. Our team ensures consistent availability and performance for our customers.

As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will design and deploy server clusters. Remotely diagnose hardware problems and facilitate server repairs and manage Akamai's hardware assets. You will be managing a team of field technicians and working closely with external partners. You will also ensure the service we deliver is exceptional with our Internal cross-functional teams as well.
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for:
+ Managing projects for server deployments and network installations through collaboration with cross-functional technical teams
+ Collaborating with cross-functional teams during execution to provide end-to-end support for deployment projects
+ Working closely with field technicians, ISPs and Akamai partners for installation and maintenance of Akamai Network Infrastructure
+ Managing hardware assets and troubleshooting issues remotely across APJ
**Do what you love**
To be successful in this role you will:
+ Have 2-3 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
+ Experience in running Pre/Post Quality Assurance process on network infrastructure
+ Be experienced in network technologies, internet protocols and data center operations
+ Have Proficiency in OSI layer 2 and a good understanding of OSI layer 3,4 & 7 (HTTP/HTTPS/DNS)
+ Show expertise and hands-on technical experience configuring, managing and troubleshooting switches and servers
+ Possess basic knowledge of bash/perl/python scripting in a Linux/Unix environment and SQL
+ Have a goal-oriented mindset to work through roadblocks, attention to detail and bring about project closure
+ Be passionate about building productive relationships with customers, teams and partners

As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you require to post a strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills to solve an organization business infrastructure system & configuration related challenges. Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, support, and manage the organization's security devices and wide area network infrastructure
- Support & Governance for network infrastructure, and email server administrative
- Enhance and network infrastructure security
- Planning and conducting network migrations, expansions, and upgrades. determining the need for increased network capacity, making suggestions for improvements, and working with external teams and vendors to put changes into practice.
- Identifying and resolving complex network collaborating with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems.
- Lead in LAN, VLAN, WAN, SDWAN, and Azure connection strategy, development, and deployment.
- Perform IT network and security system deployment
- Ensure and maintain a high level of network infrastructure availability
- Propose and execute continuous improvements on network solutions
- Maintain up to date configuration backups and all associated documentation
- Support assigned IT infrastructure projects
Qualification & Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, IT Network infrastructure professional certification.
- 3 to 7 years work experience in switching, routing, and firewall technologies and network security principles. Familiar with firewall, Cisco and exposure on fortiGate/Cisco firewalls.
- Develop standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices for everything related to enterprise networks and unified communications & collaborations by providing leadership and experience in these areas.
- Support and execute architectural solutions, features and provide assessment report and process improvements.
- Collaboration framework with suppliers and partner organisations to offer solution leadership and design.
- Monitor Network Alerts and create the Incidents according to the ITIL process within the defined SLA.
- Strong experience setting up and the Microsoft 365 and Azure server environments.
- You must have VPN experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC tunnels
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong experience with technical support supervision & management is an advantage and significant leadership experience is essential
- Strong experience in technical system design, integration and system architecture framework
- In depth knowledge in network infrastructure project testing and deployment life cycle
- You must have knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, IP addressing, analysis and troubleshooting of networks, and Route-redistribution.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation

- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure that local and global strategic sales objectives and targets are met.

- Ensures that sales procedures and policies as defined by the sales leadership are implemented and followed.
- Provides input into the development of the tactical strategy as well as develop and implement a supporting operational strategy.
- Aligns their team to the client segmentation strategy ensuring that the right level of resource is allocated to the right type of client.
- Responsible for the co-ordination of the activities of their sales teams, setting and measuring performance targets, account allocation and enforcing the execution of the client account plans, call planning and opportunity qualification.
- Responsible for pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
- Supports team by attending key client meetings and articulate how the company can add value through our services and solutions.
- Takes full ownership for managing efficiency levels, streamlining procedures to deliver customer excellence.

- Lead in the research, analysis, design, testing and implementation of complex computer network security/protection technologies for the Bank’s IT application and network environments.
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize robust, scalable, highly automated, and secure technical solutions in support of the Bank’s IT application and network environments.
- Create scripts, employ tools, develop automation techniques, and pursue ideas to increase the manageability, efficiency, compliance, capability, capacity, and security of devices.
- Create comprehensive engineering documentation including functional requirements, design proposals, network diagrams, workflow diagrams, application communications diagrams, configuration documents, support documentation, training materials, and project documents.
- Ensure that security is embedded in how it is built from design and development to testing to how it is being run in the cloud, and to strategically guard against existing or emerging threats.

- Proven track record of effectively supporting commonly-used information security tools and processes (e.g., patch management, SIEM, UBA, Web Application Security testing, SSO, Email Security Gateways, malware management, web filtering, firewalls, proxies, APT analysis, IDS/IPS, DLP, HIDS/HIPS, network access control, threat and vulnerability management).
