We're looking for a hardworking engineer to be part of the global Negotiation Engineering team. This individual will provide technical support for bids on Large Gas Turbines (LGT) by defining technical scope, risks, and performance evaluations tied to service programs. This will at times include direct customer contact to help clarify technical points of a service offering.
How You'll Make an Impact
Ability to provide technical feedback/expertise to support active proposal and negotiations through definition of scope and risk
Run detailed performance models to evaluate impact of potential upgrades on LGT's
Be the primary contact for questions from the sales teams and provide direct feedback to the customers where necessary
Run performance evaluations on LGT units to resolve any opportunities for optimization/ improvement
Execute customer order engineering for the upgrades of the LGTs by defining solutions.
Ability to handle process starting from negotiation stage to actual implementation of the upgrades.
Ability to multitask multiple projects in parallel
Communicate within multiple disciplines and end customer
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering/technical field; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.
For experienced candidates: at least 2 years of professional experience in the energy industry; for new graduates: a keen interest in building expertise in the gas turbine power plant domain.
Fundamental understanding of thermodynamic, aerodynamic, and fluid mechanics engineering principles, demonstrated through hand and computer calculations.
Experience in LGT thermal performance evaluations, particularly with detailed heat balance analysis, is preferred for experienced candidates.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a global team, leveraging varied strengths to achieve optimal results and drive change in the business.
Strong experience with external customers and a deep understanding of customer needs for experienced candidates; new graduates should demonstrate a willingness to learn about customer interactions.
Solid performance evaluation knowledge and proficiency in Excel for experienced candidates; new graduates should have a foundational understanding of performance evaluation.
An operational mindset with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
Excellent communication skills, applicable to both experienced professionals and new graduates.
