The Bank in Singapore is looking for an experienced Murex Datamart Reporting Consultant for the core Treasury IT team to support the bank's treasury division for the business with Commodities, Credit Derivatives, FXD, IRD, FX, MM, Fixed Income products in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and its overseas branches across the globe.This role is for the Global Markets Programme - Risk Project implementation using Murex v3. The role is based in Kuala Lumpur and requires interaction with users and stakeholders in Malaysia, Singapore & overseas.

Responsibilities

• Developer for Market Risk Management application team with the following responsibilities:
• Gather and understand requirements, Impact analysis, cost estimation, production of comprehensive functional and technical specification
• The development of enhancements to the Risk Systems. This will involve both 'hands on' development as well as working with vendor to deliver the solution
• The implementation, customisation and support of vendor systems components (such as Murex Market Risk Limit Monitoring system)
• System testing, trouble shooting, code review and quality control
• Managing user's expectations
• Offer third line support to the production support team

SKILLS

Must have

• 6-9 years of development experience, preferably working with Murex applications, strong experience on design and development of Datamart reports MX3.1
• 6-9 year experience working directly with users to gather/ analyse
• Strong Knowledge in Datamart, SQL, Store Procedures
• Java, Control M
• Strong exposure of trade lifecycle across front office and middle office tiers
• Practical knowledge of shell scripting
• Ability to take responsibility for project/enhancement delivery from initiation to implementation and ensure delivery under tight schedules
• Articulate with a high standard of written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work with other teams and manage those teams to achieve project deliverables
• Team Player
• Strong analytical skills and proactive in providing system solutions
• Candidate must be able to apply good working knowledge of project procedures, workflows, and milestones in order to complete projects assigned.

Project description

Datamart Development work across multiple projects with a Leading Asia Pacific Bank. Work as part of the development team with the Bank's Treasury and Markets IT team. Work on multiple projects related to automation and digitization of bank processes and systems that are integrated with the Murex system.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and configure the database for Murex Datamart implementation.
• Detailed understanding and working knowledge of the configuration of Murex Datamart objects.
• Ability to carry out configuration for accounting, transaction, compliance, PL, cash flow, etc. reports.
• SQL language, preferably in a Sybase environment.
• Should have knowledge of the procedure, function, trigger, index, and tuning Market Data experience including MDRS, MDCS, and RTBS.
• Unix system commands and shell/Perl script programming.
• Should have experience in creating technical/functional documents along with requirement analysis/client-facing roles.

SKILLS

Must have

• 12+ years of experience in the Murex Datamart Module
• Basic understanding of Financial products
• Knowledge of SQL, Murex Data model
• Experience in supporting Treasury & Markets Applications is a plus.
• Working in a very collaborative and agile team, you are expected to work collaborate, negotiate, make trade-offs, and handle conflicts. Strong capability to solve problems, and be an out-of-box thinker who frequently comes up with new ideas.

Description:

1. Understand the Murex system setup at the client, organisation of the support teams, end of day procedures and the report delivery process.
2. Collect and provide detailed technical specifications / business requirement specifications.
3. Participate in peer review of requirements, technical and/or testing documentation and assist in mentoring junior members.

1. At least 6+ years of experience on MX3.1 Datamart.
2. Understanding of the Murex system as a whole.
3. Good understanding of capital market products.
4. In-depth understanding of MX reporting architecture, MX datamodel, and MX Datamart configuration.
5. Familiarity with mxres configuration files and launcher flags.
6. Thorough knowledge of Datamart objects - dynamic tables, feeders, batch of feeders, scanner templates, etc.
7. Exposure to Mreports; Mreport to Datamart migration experience is desirable.
8. Experience with Simulation and Risk Matrices.
9. Experience with Market risk and credit risk report development.
10. Experience with RDBMS, e.g., Oracle, Sybase.
11. Excellent SQL programming skills.
12. Unix experience necessary; shell programming experience highly desirable; awk, sed, and Perl scripting experience would be a bonus.
13. Experience with at least one reporting tool, preferably Actuate eRD Pro.
14. Other programming experience a plus, especially MS Excel VBA.
15. Product knowledge (Any one or more, FX mandatory) - FX, IRD, FI, EQD, CRD.
16. Technical skills - Very good knowledge of SQL (Sybase and Oracle), at least one reporting tool (Actuate, Crystal reports, Micro Strategy), basic Unix commands.
17. Understanding of Trade Life Cycle.
18. Should possess an understanding of financial markets.
19. Basic knowledge on financial instruments such as Interest Rate Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, Swaps, Futures, Options, FRA, etc.

1. Having MRA/MRE or MLC module knowledge is desirable.
2. Desired Experience: Murex knowledge around - Pricing, Trade repository, Trade validation, MDCS, MxML exchange and workflows.
3. Technical skills - PL/SQL, Shell scripting, Java, Excel VBA.

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring the progress of the half yearly risk assessment review exercise;
• Assist in performing risk analysis for reporting;
• Manage all iRisk system related requests from users and follow through the process until the completion of risk assessment exercise.
• Assist in coordinating and conducting risk management related training to users.
