This role is part of Regional Controlling organization and is critical in ensuring compliance with US GAAP and regional/global reporting requirements.

Support all aspects of regional GL close activities.

The role requires understanding of complex accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support regional and global reporting requirements for all areas under Regional Controlling responsibility (e.g., monthly B/S and P&L Flux reviews).
  • As part of regional GL team, support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes.
  • Support enhancement of financial processes, tools and templates and reporting Leverage strong relationships with other finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers, to maintain and update shared processes, tools, and reporting activities.
  • Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls.
  • Support local, regional, and global projects, as required.
  • Be an activate advocate of finance function
  • Maintain focus on continuous process improvement.

Minium Required Experience, Qualification & Skillsets:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or part qualified /qualified ACCA/CIMA.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible and “can do” mind-set.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong reporting tools including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in JDE, Blackline and W-Desk is an advantage.
  • Additional hours at critical times (e.g., month-end) may be required. Also, and on an exceptional basis, the role may require work on public holidays.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in General Ledger or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (such as Oracle NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills is an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and other departments.

The GL Specialist is handling all Accounting activities of the FEC. This include various tasks which are the basis for Corporate and statutory reporting as well as legal requirements.   • Provide analytical support and data.
  • Work in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Apply and check against standard company procedures.
  • Prepare reliable forecasts and track and report on variances in the process.
  • Analyze issues and risks that require additional investigation by performing thorough analysis in conjunction with project teams.
  • Executes ad-hoc analyses for business needs and/or pro-actively.
  • Maintain fully compliance to internal control framework.
  • Control and report on operational expenses of the clustered shared services team.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining and updating the General Ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by preparing and posting journal entries. Perform regular account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, including cash, bank, and intercompany accounts. Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting. Identify and investigate discrepancies in the General Ledger, ensuring prompt resolution. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and reports. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies in all GL-related tasks. Assist in the continuous improvement of GL processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Work closely with other departments to gather financial data for reporting and reconciliation purposes. Support ad-hoc financial projects and reporting requirements as needed. Job Requirements

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent qualification in Accounting/Finance, advanced certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, ICAEW) is advantageous. 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in General Ledger or a similar role. Proficiency in accounting software (such as Oracle NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills is an added advantage. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and other departments. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, particularly during the month-end close. A proactive problem-solver with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. Experience with financial audits and tax regulations is a plus. Knowledge of automation tools or interest in process improvement is desirable. Skills

The

GL Specialist

handles all accounting activities for the FEC, supporting corporate and statutory reporting as well as legal requirements. They serve as a contact for Controlling departments across various units and functions. Responsibilities / Key Activities: Support Marketing & Sales and Manufacturing Units in accounting activities. Liaise with external service providers for outsourced accounting tasks. Ensure timely monthly reporting of P&L, balance sheets, IFRS, and statutory financial statements. Process transactions accurately and provide analytical support. Maintain consistency and compliance with company procedures. Prepare forecasts, track variances, and analyze issues and risks. Execute ad-hoc analyses and maintain internal control compliance. Control and report operational expenses of the shared services team. Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are innovative and eager to learn. Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field. Membership in MIA (preferred). At least 5 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG sectors. Strong controlling background, knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, and SAP (preferably SAP R3 and SAP BPC).
