Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to join our AI Partnerships Team at F5. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving strategic partnerships to support our cutting-edge AI solutions. This BDM will implement & execute across ASEAN, the Large SI Partner business plan & AI ecosystem partner business objectives, as well as devise & augment ASEAN strategies to further enhance the partnership success. Responsible for executing with F5’s Application & AI Led strategy, the position would be aligned with the Partner organization. Overall responsibility for all business management aspects related to the development of Large SI partnerships & partner ecosystem across AI & Application Led initiatives. Devise and execute revenue strategies by Market, Segment and Solution area and align with F5 Partner Business GTM strategy. Ensure sales enablement of Business partners through ongoing sales & technical training and certification levels. Provide leadership to virtual teams of F5 and Partner sales organizations and account teams

What you'll do:

  • Defining, negotiating, and closing high-impact partnerships for F5’s AI products
  • Managing relationships with partners, identifying new opportunities, and growing partnership success
  • Working closely with product and engineering teams to define priorities and identify key opportunities
  • Managing external and internal cross-functional teams when integrating products or technologies with external partners
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the AI industry
  • Working cross-functionally with sales, legal, marketing, finance, product, and engineering teams to negotiate deal terms, drive special projects, advocate internally for partners, and educate on industry trends
  • Providing regular reports and updates on partnership activity and performance
  • Devise, implement and execute Partner revenue growth activities, campaigns and programs
  • Develop, maintain and grow in strategic importance with Strategic Large SI/OEM relationships across ASEAN Assist Director- Channels and Country Head ASEAN in planning cycles
  • Ensure regular Quarterly Business Reviews, both internally as well as with partner’s leadership
  • Ensure competitive containment through sales programs, marketing, messaging & training
  • Monitor ASEAN bookings progress & trends, as well as ‘share of wallet’ and market share position, and provide reports & analysis to leadership
  • Gather competitive intelligence and drive counter measures through teaming with corporate and ASEAN marketing & sales leadership.
  • Design, secure approval and execute specific counter competitive programs and pricing actions as needed
  • Work strategically to identify new industry specific ‘use cases and solutions’ with Large SIs.
  • Additional projects and responsibilities towards Large SIs as assigned by Director- Channels

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA degree are a strong plus, or equivalent levels of experience
  • 10+ years of strong background in sales, pre-sales or alliance partnerships gained within the Cloud/SaaS/Security/AI space, managing multi-million dollar deals
  • Technical background in Cloud/SaaS/Security/AI space etc. areas is highly preferred
  • Coming from an OEM background would be an added advantage
  • Direct experience of partnering with Large SI’s like Infosys, TCS, LTI, Deloitte, PWC, Accenture, HP, Dell will be an important advantage
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding targets whilst managing a small number of large accounts or alliance partners, ideally with a next generation software/SAAS company
  • Experience and relationships with major SI’s, ISV’s, Managed Service Providers, Value Added Resellers and experience with leading software, Cloud & SaaS organizations required

The role

A BDD (Individual Contributor) is a sales expert against customer problems/business needs. The BDD is responsible for accelerating time to value for our customers and supporting them in their cloud and digital transformation by aligning our solutions. Accountable for growing new Cloud (Azure) and Application Services Opportunities along with Field Sales ensuring that the customers’ needs are met or exceeded. Drive the entire Sales Cycle from initial Customer Engagement till Contract Closing for new & existing customers.

  • Establish relationships with new and existing customers and secure new business in the assigned portfolio element(s).
  • Work with Account Managers to ensure that the overall account strategy and goals are followed and achieved.
  • Maintain a very detailed level of relevant knowledge on the assigned portfolio element(s) in order to have meaningful and relevant conversations with customers and prospects.
  • Work with Technical Architects/Practice Leaders to ensure that we design the right solutions for our customers.
  • Work with Partners, i.e. Microsoft, to grow the services around Microsoft technology.
  • Provide feedback to Account Management on ways to decrease the Sales Cycle, enhance Sales, and improve company brand and reputation.
  • Provide feedback to the service delivery team to ensure that the service delivered meets or exceeds the satisfaction level of the client.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Able to articulate use cases of cloud transformation specific to the customers' industry and size and understand where the customer is on their journey.
  • Engage with stakeholders from IT all the way to C-level, understand the Customers' business requirements & challenges, create an IT transformation roadmap covering (not limited to) Cloud services, modern workplace and position the right support model and articulate the business value of the offering.
  • Position cloud Services & future workplace advisory and/or professional services to customer depending on their requirements.
  • Articulate the importance and value of adoption and change management in the customer journey towards increasing productivity. Understanding of the Microsoft 365 technologies and the role they play in enabling a secure and flexible workplace environment.
  • 10+ years enterprise technology strategic sales/pre-sales experience with a good knowledge of selling cloud and digital transformation solutions, specifically around Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience preparing, presenting formal proposals to customers. Leading negotiations, coordinating complex decision-making processes, and overcoming objections to closure.
  • Strong knowledge in the public cloud market in Asia and strong understanding of cloud consumption economics.
  • Strong Knowledge on domain around Data and Application development using Microsoft technology.
  • Expertise in enterprise solution selling techniques and selling cloud-based solutions.

Accountable for growing new Cloud (Azure) and Application Services Opportunities along with Field Sales ensuring that the customers’ needs are met or exceeded. Drive the entire Sales Cycle from initial Customer Engagement till Contract Closing for new & existing customers. Establish relationships with new and existing customers and secure new business in the assigned portfolio element(s). Work with Account Managers to ensure that the overall account strategy and goals are followed and achieved. Maintain a very detailed level of relevant knowledge on the assigned portfolio element(s) in order to have meaningful and relevant conversations with customers and prospects. Work with Technical Architects/Practice Leaders to ensure that we design the right solutions for our customers. Work with Partners, i.e. Microsoft, to grow the services around Microsoft technology. Provide feedback to Account Management on ways to decrease the Sales Cycle, enhance Sales, and improve company brand and reputation. Provide feedback to the service delivery team to ensure that the service delivered meets or exceeds the satisfaction level of the client. What we need to see from you Existing Full-Time Work Rights in Malaysia Ability to commute to our office in Kuala Lumpur and visit clients in Malaysia Technical Qualifications: Able to articulate use cases of cloud transformation specific to the customers' industry and size and understand where the customer is on their journey. Engage with stakeholders from IT all the way to C-level, understand the Customers' business requirements & challenges, create an IT transformation roadmap covering (not limited to) Cloud services, modern workplace and position the right support model and articulate the business value of the offering. Position cloud Services & future workplace advisory and/or professional services to customer depending on their requirements. Articulate the importance and value of adoption and change management in the customer journey towards increasing productivity. Understanding of the Microsoft 365 technologies and the role they play in enabling a secure and flexible workplace environment. 10+ years enterprise technology strategic sales/pre-sales experience with a good knowledge of selling cloud and digital transformation solutions, specifically around Microsoft Azure. Experience preparing, presenting formal proposals to customers. Leading negotiations, coordinating complex decision-making processes, and overcoming objections to closure. Strong knowledge in the public cloud market in Asia and strong understanding of cloud consumption economics. Strong Knowledge on domain around Data and Application development using Microsoft technology. Expertise in enterprise solution selling techniques and selling cloud-based solutions. Effective territory/account management and leading sales teams: planning, opportunity qualification and creation, stakeholder and executive communication, needs analysis, value engineering, services/partner engagement, opportunity management and proposal response, pipeline management, large dollar licensing and deal negotiation required. Experience and expertise selling to c-suite and executive business decision makers by aligning & reinforcing the value of Cloud transformation to the customer's overall business and/or strategic opportunities and decision criteria. Experience leading large cloud engagements, especially those involving infrastructure modernization and migration. Executive level speaking and presentation skills, and good written communication skills, exceptional demonstrated decision-making, conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiation skills. Have a strong collaboration skill to engage internal and external.

Minimum 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or account management (Fresh graduates with strong communication and interpersonal skills are encouraged to apply)

Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers at all levels

Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-first mindset

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative sales team

Good understanding of analytics, AI, or IT solutions is an advantage

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is beneficial
