Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design of visual ambiance for retail stores, including material ordering, on-site execution, and related tasks.
• Deliver comprehensive pre-opening visual proposals for new store projects, including 2D visual atmosphere layouts.
• Maintain and continuously optimize the visual merchandising standards for stores, ensuring both global consistency and regional.
• Perform regular store visits and visual checks to ensure displays remain fresh, on-brand, and well-maintained. Provide guidance and feedback to store teams to support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support visual merchandising for marketing events or related projects and ensure effective implementation of related tasks.
• To coordinate with merchandising team to ensure stock availability especially new launch for displays.
• To train store teams on VM best practices, ensuring ongoing adherence to brand standards.
• All other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Candidates must posses at least Bachelor’s degree or above in Visual Merchandising, Art Design, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in Visual Merchandising with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Experience in retail industry would be an added advantage.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Strong aesthetic sensibility, brand awareness, and innovative thinking;
• Proficient in software such as Photoshop and Illustrator, and skilled in 3D modeling/rendering tools such as SketchUp, Enscape, or 3ds Max.
• Willing to travel around and possess own transport.
• We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking individuals.

Job Description

You will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and procuring a wide range of products for Shopee Consignment Service. Your primary focus will be identifying popular products, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring a diverse, high-quality product assortment that meets customer demands. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, such as operations, and marketing, to drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall profitability of the stores.

• Product Sourcing and Selection - Identify emerging market trends, customer demands, and popular product categories to curate a compelling product assortment.
• Supplier Management and Negotiation - Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing, terms, and conditions for product procurement.
• Inventory Planning and Management - Analyze sales data, market demand, and stock levels to determine optimal inventory quantities and ensure product availability.
• Pricing and Promotion Strategy - To develop pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to drive sales and profitability.
• Supplier and Product Performance Analysis - Track and analyze supplier and product performance, including sales, customer ratings, returns, and other relevant metrics.

• 2 -5 years of working experience in offline and online retail, buying, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends, and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, product sourcing strategies, and industry best practices.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools.

Job Description:

1. Sourcing and buying of new related products to maximize sales and maintain optimal inventory
2. Liaise with suppliers on promotional activities and prompt delivery of stocks.
3. Negotiate with vendors regarding terms, conditions and margins to create competitive edge
4. Analyze performance of stock and promotions to determine effectiveness of the product assortment and promotion strategy to drive market share
5. Work closely with Sales & Marketing Department, assist to plan promotional activities merchandise according to line master plans
6. Work closely with the stores and vendors on all replenishment activities, product range, promotions mechanics, pricing, and aging stocks

You will lead strategic buying, planning, and merchandising operations for in-house female fashion brands , similar to 7 Days or ZARA. This position plays a critical role in shaping product direction and driving commercial success in retail categories.

• Develop/manage Merchandise Plan (M-Plan) and Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets.

• Lead seasonal planning , order placement , and demand forecasting .

• Analyze sales history , market trends , promotions , and customer feedback .

• Monitor sales , inventory , stock allocation , and turnover .

• Conduct monthly M-Plan and markdown reviews to protect margins and optimize sales.

• Create reports and analyses for stakeholders to support pricing, assortment, and marketing strategies.

• Collaborate with marketing, VM, and operations for aligned product rollouts.

• Mentor and lead assistant merchandisers/planners .

• 5+ years in merchandising, product control, buying, or planning (preferably fashion/retail).

• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Deep understanding of the Malaysian fashion retail market (especially women's apparel).

• Good sense for fashion trends and consumer behavior .

About the Role
As a Merchandising Executive at Aonic, you will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies that drive sales and enhance customer experience across both retail and e-commerce channels

• Product roadmap: Develop merchandising strategy according to product roadmap and overall company strategy based on the latest market trends
• Relationship Management: Put customers at the heart of all initiatives, build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their inquiries and resolving promptly to foster loyalty in every interaction.
• Inventory Management: Work closely with the supply chain team to manage inventory levels and ensure that products are in stock and available for purchase.
• Market and Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, stay up to date with industry trends and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly.
• People & Processes: Work actively with key stakeholders such as retail branches personnel, salesperson and product teams to understand possible gaps in their daily tasks relating to merchandising, and develop processes to boost overall efficiency and productivity

Requirements

• Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain/ Logistics Management/ Business Administration, or a related field.
• Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must-Have Skills/Industries: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Optional Skills/Industries: Experience with supply chain software, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and effective communication and interpersonal capabilities.

We are looking for a Merchandising Executive to support sales operations, inventory management, and supplier coordination. This role involves ensuring smooth business operations by managing product pricing, stock allocation, and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities:
