Job Description
The Clinical Instructor at the Clinical Skills Training Unit under the Laboratory department is responsible for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of clinical skills teaching and simulation-based education for medical, nursing, and allied health students. This role involves facilitating hands-on practical sessions, ensuring competency in essential clinical procedures, and promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver clinical skills sessions according to the academic curriculum.
Demonstrate procedures (e.g. venipuncture, catheterization, BLS, physical examination) and supervise student practice.
Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices during training.
Set up and operate low- to high-fidelity simulators and task trainers.

Manage the Clinical Skill Training unit inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet students' needs.
Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and inventory of all CST equipment, consumables, and mannequins.
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols within the unit.
Support procurement and maintenance of training equipment and consumables.
Participate in appropriate campus committees, meetings, projects and activities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's in nursing sciences.
Working experience minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience and teaching field.
Broad experience in general healthcare sciences and possess teaching methodology certificate.

Perform basic laboratory test as per accordance with approved test methods or procedures. Assisting Chemist / Microbiologist in carrying out laboratory testing, method development and compliance with QA/QC requirement. Ensure Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in the laboratory. Ensure the sample preparation equipment are used and maintained in proper way. Adhere to group HSE safety procedures. Make sure all relevant raw data or test information to be correctly and accurately recorded in the provided raw data sheet or manual log book. To comply with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) local regulation (Occupational Safety and Health Act 1996, Factory and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act 1974). To perform any other task as assigned by his/her superior. To report any hazard/risk, near-miss and incident in Crystal system. Ensure that all Operational Integrity Management System (OIMS) requirements are met. Qualifications
Minimum education SPM or STPM or College Diploma. 1-3 years’ laboratory experience in related activities is preferred. Good personality and a good team leader. Good communication and written skills in English and/or local language. Additional Information

Handles samples including collecting samples from clients, preparing samples for testing and analysis, and sample safe keeping, recording monitoring and disposal. Can conduct physical preparation like cutting, breaking, homogenizing, crushing, grinding and pulverizing; chemical preparation (organic extraction and digestion) sample testing: wet analysis (gravimetric, titration, distillation) and other tests Ensures that work performed is in accordance with the QMS and Safety Policies defined in the Safety Manual. Wash sensitive glass wares for analyses. Cleans specific work area. Operates and maintains equipment used in preparing samples. Maintain records on equipment used in preparing samples and keep up-to-date records pertaining to sample storage and disposal. Assist laboratory analysts on internal preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment when needed. Signs worksheets, job instructions and other routine records related to the handled tests and as a requirement of the specific section.
