Regulatory Compliance
  • Manage MDA registration, licensing, and renewal processes (establishment license, product registration, etc.).
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain documentation for MDA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Act as the primary liaison with MDA, ensuring compliance with Medical Device Act 2012 (Act 737).
  • Monitor and communicate regulatory updates to internal teams and systems.
  • Assist with product traceability, adverse event reporting, and post-market surveillance activities.
Operations & Workflow Management
  • Track project timelines, client orders, and job progress using internal tools or spreadsheets.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.

Role Purpose

  • Reporting to the Area Nutritional Manager, this role represents Fonterra by ensuring Health Care Professionals (HCPs) are effectively engaged through product detailing and presentations. You will update customers with the latest nutrition science and product information, securing medical endorsements for Fonterra products. This contributes to demand generation, driving product uptake.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned calls targeting key HCPs according to the frequency outlined in the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal coverage with cost and time efficiency.
  • Support and implement all activities outlined by the Medical Sales Team.
  • Maintain up-to-date reporting on targeted HCPs, including recommendation patterns and other relevant details.
  • Accurately report monthly expenses as prescribed.
  • Submit all required reports within the set timeframes.
  • Identify potential hospitals, confinement homes, and clinics for milk rotations and/or product recommendations, securing them as planned in the objectives.
  • Ensure the distribution and effective use of professional goods and promotional materials to hospitals, confinement homes, and clinics under your care. Periodically check these items to ensure they are being utilized by HCPs.
  • Organize and participate in medical congresses, health exhibitions, and public forums, either organized by medical societies or the company, to create awareness and obtain endorsements from HCPs.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of and comply with company policies and practices as outlined in the company handbook and training manual.

Skills And Experience

We are looking for applicants with:

  • A background in nutrition or science is essential. Qualifications in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Bachelor of Science will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in sales, nutrition, or science.
  • A proven track record in problem-solving, sales, negotiation, and influencing.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and stakeholder relationship skills.
