Job Description
Operational Excellence
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and checklists of machines, equipment, and structures.
- Execute preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and structures as scheduled.
- Complete maintenance tasks and requests as required.
- Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard by work requests and pre-determined specifications, on time, and with minimal wastage.
- Fault Finding, testing, and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures, and parts.
- Where a detailed specification is not provided determines the cause of the fault and then undertakes the most cost-effective solution to remedy the defect.
- Assist superior in listing down mechanical works for daily routine jobs and annual plant shutdowns. This includes managing contractors for jobs that require external expertise.
- Responsible for immediate action in any mechanical and machinery breakdown
- To work closely with Production Department for continuous improvement of machinery and equipment
- To ensure all procedures are by ISO documentation
- Follow safe operating procedures and notify any hazardous/unsafe conditions which could cause accidents and production lost time.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide support to all the departments within FGV Fertiliser Sdn. Bhd.
- Effective Communication â keeping Management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required.
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, tools, and fitting techniques.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings, mechanical schematics, and manuals.
- Physically fit and capable of handling heavy tools and equipment.
