Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Materials Planning Manager located in Prai, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Directs the team in the use of best practices in the daily execution of finished goods and WIP planning
  • Manages, coaches and mentors a team. Works with the team on continuous development and performance management.
  • Directs activities of Planners to ensure that inventory level and turn goals are achieved, including reduction of back orders and enhancing customer service.
  • Meets with Senior Management to obtain strategic information that could impact the forecast. Works with team to modify the forecast for historical and environmental events. Works closely with different departments to accurately develop and maintain an accurate forecast.
  • Hold cross-functional meetings to review the Supply and Demand plan
  • Review issues and make recommendations that deal with long-term constraints, customer service levels, inventory targets, the current forecast, and backlog.

Job Description
  • Production Planning

    Source, release and follow-up the inter-company purchasing orders; and maintain the inter-company purchasing database in order to obtain the most optimal deal amongst inter-company suppliers.
  • Capacity Planning
    Collect and analyze the raw data for production capacity planning, balancing the in-house capacity and sub-contract capacity according to company development strategy in order to optimize the production capacity utilization and meet both the short term delivery demand and long-term development plan.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for NPI production planning and fulfillment, including the required changes to loading plans up to managing daily NPI shipments in a timely fashion.
  • Work closely with assigned Technical Program Managers (TPM) to ensure readiness is done prior to WO creation/ Release.
  • Manages Non-standard requirements prior to NPI loadings to minimize impact to line.
  • Daily monitoring of WIP performance to ensure WO close on timely manner to meet shipment needs.
  • Daily clearance/ update of past due work order to ensure overall MRP is driven correctly.
  • Timely release of DN based on Shipment Matrix from TPM.
  • Working with and drive cross functional teams to accomplish KPI targets e.g. build plan execution, OTD, inventory management, cycle time performance and MLT.
  • Responsible to work with cross functional teams on ECO/ Quality/ Rework excursions.
  • Responsible for daily/ weekly/ monthly/ quarterly reporting for KPI areas.
  • Initiate & Drive improved Busiess or system process(es) to close gaps for continuous improvements.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • BS/ BA degree or equivalent with 1 or more years of related experience.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with good command of English
  • Experience of SAP, I2, Oracle and MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites & Mathematics, especially in the Area of Statistics/Analysis,

4. Feedstock Ranking Value

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 2 years of plant operation experience in refinery, steam cracker, or petrochemical industries.
  • 7-10 years in production planning, scheduling, or performance analysis, with skills in simulation or optimization tools like LP or Crude Assay Manager.
  • Knowledge of crude and product analysis, including crude assay generation and related systems.
  • Understanding of refining and petrochemical processes, including CDU, Reformer, Hydrocracker, RFCC, BTX, Coker, Isomerization, Lube, SCC, and utilities.
  • Familiarity with shareholder agreements related to feedstock and product supply.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP PP (Production Planning) Consultant with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing SAP PP solutions that streamline production planning processes and support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Solution Development & Optimization
  • Develop innovative SAP PP application solutions to enhance production workflows and business operations.
  • Continuously optimize SAP PP configurations and improve process efficiency aligned with business goals.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of SAP PP applications to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and IT) to gather business requirements.
  • Translate functional needs into detailed technical specifications and documentation.
  • Training & End-User Support
  • Provide training, support, and documentation to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of SAP PP solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for SAP PP and guide users through new functionalities or changes.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes through SAP PP capabilities.
  • Stay current on SAP best practices and advancements, especially in PP and integrated modules.

  • Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP (Production Planning).
  • Proven experience in configuration, support, and enhancement of SAP PP module including:
  • Master Data Management (materials, work centers, routings, BOMs)
  • MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
  • Production Orders and Execution
  • Capacity Planning and Shop Floor Control
  • Strong understanding of SAP PP integration with MM, SD, and WM modules.
  • Experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation or system rollout.
  • Ability to develop functional and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with ABAP debugging and collaboration with development teams.
