Permanent Overview: An exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer to contribute to a high-profile offshore energy project. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role focuses on marine process systems and involves full lifecycle participation - from design and specification through construction, commissioning, and offshore handover. You'll be responsible for key process deliverables, vendor coordination, and interface management while also mentoring junior engineers and supporting site teams during execution. Key Responsibilities: Understand project-specific requirements and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, classification society rules, and regulatory obligations. Develop engineering design philosophies, process specifications, data sheets, and calculations. Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, and process documents including flare and blowdown reports, heat and material balances, control descriptions, line lists, and utility summaries. Evaluate technical bids from suppliers and provide process-related assessments in coordination with the lead engineer. Provide input to package engineering by reviewing supplier documentation and identifying technical compliance and gaps. Participate in stakeholder meetings and address interface issues between clients, vendors, subcontractors, and classification bodies. Support site teams during construction and commissioning, troubleshooting process-related issues and ensuring proper implementation. Take part in safety reviews and provide explanations of process systems, closing out observations and recommendations promptly. Capture lessons learned and contribute to project close-out activities including documentation in relevant management systems. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development. Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas sector. Strong understanding of marine or offshore systems, ideally with FPSO project experience. Familiarity with international process standards and regulatory frameworks. Capable of independently producing high-quality process deliverables. Confident in technical discussions with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proactive, organised, and team-oriented, with the ability to mentor junior team members.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in design and engineering of New Build Hull and conversion of existing oil tanker to floating offshore facilities (e.g. FPSO / FSO, FLNG, etc.).

• Experience and competent in the use of relevant analysis software, (e.g. PipeNet, PipeData PRO, Flow Master, etc.).

QUALIFICATION :

• Relevant recognized qualifications – Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine or other related engineering) discipline OR Class 1 or 2 Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency Foreign Going Unlimited.
• Preference: Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate / Registered with relevant professional body.

Senior Engineer Process Marine

We are currently based at KL Eco City, Malaysia.

Understands the project specific specifications and requirements : Understands the project specific specifications and requirements of the assigned project (may include Construction, Commissioning and Offshore assignment) and Industry Standard, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements Develops design philosophies, engineering specifications: Develops design philosophies, engineering specifications, PFD, P&ID drawings, data sheets, calculations, and equipment sizing specific to the assigned project and validates them with the Lead Engineer. Independently evaluates the process aspect of all the bids : Independently evaluates the process aspect of all the bids received for packages from various suppliers, involves in technical bid evaluation process to ensure that selected vendors meet technical/engineering requirements as stipulated in the project specifications and gives assessment in consultation with Lead Engineer to the Package Engineer. Independently prepares the technical reports: Independently prepares the technical reports (flare & blow down, flare radiation, process simulation basis, heat and material balance, process control description, utility summary, line list, and set point list), safe chart and Process C&E for the assigned project. Independently develops solutions to technical/engineering : Independently develops solutions to technical/engineering and related problems by analyzing the issues/data, interpreting the analysis and evaluating various options/measures using experience, precedents and professional references. Participates in safety meetings, explains the process system : Participates in safety meetings, explains the process system to the committee and closes the observations and recommendations in a timely manner. Senior Engineer Process Marine

We are currently based at KL Eco City, Malaysia.

Understands the project specific specifications and requirements : Understands the project specific specifications and requirements of the assigned project (may include Construction, Commissioning and Offshore assignment) and Industry Standard, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements Develops design philosophies, engineering specifications: Develops design philosophies, engineering specifications, PFD, P&ID drawings, data sheets, calculations, and equipment sizing specific to the assigned project and validates them with the Lead Engineer. Independently evaluates the process aspect of all the bids : Independently evaluates the process aspect of all the bids received for packages from various suppliers, involves in technical bid evaluation process to ensure that selected vendors meet technical/engineering requirements as stipulated in the project specifications and gives assessment in consultation with Lead Engineer to the Package Engineer. Independently prepares the technical reports: Independently prepares the technical reports (flare & blow down, flare radiation, process simulation basis, heat and material balance, process control description, utility summary, line list, and set point list), safe chart and Process C&E for the assigned project. Independently develops solutions to technical/engineering : Independently develops solutions to technical/engineering and related problems by analyzing the issues/data, interpreting the analysis and evaluating various options/measures using experience, precedents and professional references. Participates in safety meetings, explains the process system : Participates in safety meetings, explains the process system to the committee and closes the observations and recommendations in a timely manner. Participates in key stakeholder meetings: Participates in key stakeholder (Client / Supplier / Sub-contractor / Class) meetings, reviews stakeholders’ documents and addresses interface/implementation/execution issues, and escalates where necessary to ensure that the project proceeds timely and smoothly. Provides technical/engineering support and advice to CIC at site: Provides technical/engineering support and advice to Construction/Commissioning work at site, trouble shoots and follows up to rectify the gaps or problems. Where necessary, provides off-site support and advice. Responsible for capturing lessons learned : Is responsible for capturing lessons learned in his/her functional area, entering in MIMS, and closing out project related MIMS actions.
