Key Responsibilities
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardising and improving existing production methods and procedures.
• Work on Electronic troubleshooting, PLC. programming, electronic hardware interfacing.
• Maintain a critical spares inventory for key maintenance items to minimise downtime.
• Assist ME’s in investigating and implementing new production methods.
• Assist ME’s in design methods, part sourcing and documentation.
• Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing etc.
• Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment, changes and improvements.
• Interface with a variety of BSIL personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.
• Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.
• Communicates any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager.

  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment.

  • Completing all production liquid raw material deliveries or performed pre-weighing of dry / wet raw materials to ensure requirements of the production plan, developed production team & Demand Team are met.
  • Assist Supervisors / Shift Leaders / Production Manager to ensure the production schedules are achieved in the most efficient manner.
  • Assist or deputies Supervisors / Shift Leaders regarding the production staff roster as required, to meet the production schedules, while balancing the other priorities of the business, ensuring the most efficient use of resources.
  • Assist the production performance reporting is done in timely manner.
  • Compliance to the site temporary operating instruction (TOI) program.
  • Other task assigned by superior.

Projects

  • Assist the site Management of Change (MOC) program by giving the idea as and when necessary.
  • Actively contribute to the training and maintenance plans for all new equipment.
  • Adhered to standard operating procedures that are available for all new equipment.
  • Assist in post completion reviews of capital projects to find opportunities for continuous improvement in the investment project management process.

Administrative And Others

  • Actively assist to Investigate complaints through to root cause.
  • Followed the Production CAR (Corrective Action Reports).
  • Support the halal certification for site and ensure upheld the site certification.
  • Support and take part in the continuous improvement program in the work area

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.

- Perform predictive maintenance by analyzing routine failures and determining adjustments and repairs that need to be made.
- Perform training as needed to Lower level Maintenance Techs on troubleshooting and repair techniques utilized with equipment
- Perform specified preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent equipment downtime.
- Monitor equipment operations to ensure proper usage.
- Construct and/or assemble new equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair as needed.
- Perform specified preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent equipment down-time.
- Perform Lock Out / Tag Out requirements.
- Help repairing on hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
- Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
- Analyze and improve existing products, equipment, processes as assigned.
- Develop manufacturing methods and processes in the production of components and methods to reduce manufacturing costs.
- Investigate, establish and implement requirements for equipment, tooling, and methods of manufacturing.
- Participate in cost reduction and cost of quality programs.
- Assist manufacturing engineer in solving production constraints.
- Support production through independent review, root cause analysis, corrective action, discrepancy handling, and defect prevention.
REQUIREMENTS
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
- Must have good or corrected eyesight to ensure quality of work.
- Strong practical technical ability.
- Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Associate Diploma in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience in injection molding maintenance, or mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical repair.
