As a member of Operation Research Team, you will be responsible for capacity related topic and closely work with other functional groups locally and globally to meet the key performance indices through continuous improvement activities and projects. You will also involve on equipment capabilities, strategy, and roadmap for operation efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall operation capacity studies (time study, productivity topics and resources optimization etc.)
  • Performs mathematical modeling/simulation on productivity/process improvement and optimal usage of resources.
  • Conducts work measurement studies and analysis providing clarity for operation capacity modeling.
  • Performs project management to monitor performance via system automation, to improve operational efficiency, UPH and cost performance
  • Performs Cost-benefit analysis on improvement strategies, follow thru for any investment needed to increase capacity for operational delivery.
  • Sustain and maintain JDA data focusing on equipment inventory, EUPH, PT, OEE.
  • Work with operation and global team to maximize equipment utilization and capacity.
  • Drive for balance line through loading optimization
  • Layout optimization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in any field relates to Semicondustor industry.
  • Auto-CAD proficient to support layout drawings.
  • Proficient in problem solving tools, statistical tools, failure analysis and debug techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with people at all levels
  • Self-driven, good time management and planning and integrity to deliver highest quality of work.

  • Productivity improvement project: Lead in cost saving projects such as Productivity improvement, cycle time improvement, MMR improvement, etc. to meet company goals.
  • Capacity planning and analysis to meet the volume demand and maximize the plant utilization.
  • Maintain IE database and lead on the IE related system project.
  • Time study and time standards: Perform time study data collection and analysis, continuous improvement based on Lean concept.
  • Define production layout to ensure high efficiency and ergonomic for Lean operation.
  • Coordinate in tool relocation & re-layout activities.
  • Resources planning for DL & IDL based on production volume targets.
  • Carried out material flow & process flow analysis. Study and explore opportunity to improve current process flow, material flow, line balancing, etc.
  • Validate automation performance and capability.
  • Support IE in validating offline process activity such as conversion time, kitting time, tooling preparation time, etc. and opportunity to improve the offline activities cycle time.
  • Collaborate with Production, QA, Process, and Automation team to achieve Operations KPI's
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, specifically Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proven capacity to work autonomously with minimal supervision, showcasing strong self-management and decision-making abilities.

Preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools, with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data sets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AutoCAD software for engineering design and documentation.
  • In-depth understanding of LEAN principles and Six Sigma methodologies, with practical application experience.

Your tasks

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Industrial Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applying industrial engineering principles to real-world manufacturing challenges.

  • Collect and analyze data from the shop floor to identify areas for process improvement
  • Assist in developing and implementing lean manufacturing techniques to enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows and reduce waste
  • Conduct time and motion studies to improve workplace ergonomics and productivity
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project findings and recommendations
  • Support the development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) for production processes
