Job Description

The Backend Equipment Technician performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in Backend Process.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provides manufacturing and equipment support needs in a rapidly changing development and high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, repair manuals, or specifications.
• Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting diagnosis on production equipment.
• Resolves non-standard problems, works with minimal supervision, and can adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
• Must be a self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.
• Works with engineering to support new equipment installations and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics

Preferred:

• Proficient at troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PC software/hardware related issues.
• Ability to use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis and repair of equipment.
• Ability to understand PLC systems.
• Ability to use vision systems will be an added advantage.

**Job Description**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Backend Equipment Technician perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in Backend Process.
+ Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in backend Process.
+ Provides Manufacturing and Equipment support needs in a rapidly changing development and high volume manufacturing environment.
+ Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, repair manuals, or specifications.
+ Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting diagnosis on production equipment.
+ Resolves non-standard problems, works with minimal supervision, and can adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
+ Must be a self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.
+ Works with Engineering to support new equipment installations and improvement initiatives.
**Qualifications**
REQUIRED:
+ Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics
PREFERRED:
+ Proficient at troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PC software/hardware related issues
+ Ability to use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis and repair of equipment
+ Ability to understand PLC system
+ Ability to use vision system will be an added advantage
+ High level attention to detail with methodical approach to troubleshooting and project management
+ Provide leadership to other technicians through training and mentorship
+ Drive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance procedures
+ Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose root cause, and drive factory improvement initiatives
+ Knowledge of Auto VMI, Auto Labeling and Auto Packing equipment/process would be an added advantage
SKILLS:
+ Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, engineering, and managers
+ Self-motivator; ability to work independently under general guidance and direction
