  • Ensure Line Balancing document is available in production line and work with leads, process engineer and industrial engineer to assign workloads to each assigned work station with personnel available in order to improve efficiency, reduce/eliminate bottlenecks, minimize associates downtimes and eliminate waiting waste.
  • Perform disciplinary sanctions according to internal regulations.
  • Supervise proper material identification and segregation (raw material and finished product).
  • Elaboration of reports requested by management.
  • Support the company activities and projects.
  • Report unsafe conditions or actions.
  • Ensure a clean and orderly workplace.
  • Make sure that all personnel wear their personal safety equipment.
  • Comply with personnel rotation and ergonomic requirements.
  • Perform investigations to identify non-conformant product rejection causes and actions to prevent the recurrence.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Supervising experience (2 years).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and establish professional interaction with co-workers, subordinates, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge/experience on ISO 13485 requirements and the Quality System Regulation.
  • Knowledge and experience in CGMP requirements and preferably FDA and ISO medical device requirements.
  • Experience with electrical/optical products.

Education:
B achelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office and manufacturing/production environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license is required.

About The Role

Maintain "golden unit" standards with rigorous documentation (BOMs, Work Instructions) and comply with change control. Conduct manufacturing readiness reviews, optimize capacity models, and collaborate with Supplier Development, Quality, and cross-functional teams (IT, Facilities, Supply Chain, Warehouse) to align infrastructure (cleanrooms, material flow, MRP setup) for rapid scale-up.
  • Process Optimization & Lean Manufacturing: Drive efficiency, yield, and quality through Lean methodologies (5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping), error-proofing (poka-yoke), and precision tooling design. Reduce cycle times, resolve defects via structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC), and implement PFMEA to mitigate risks. Optimize labor allocation, reduce Cost of Quality (CoQ), and execute cost-saving initiatives through waste reduction.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Validate processes using Gauge R&R, enforce Process Quality Plans (PQP) for CTQ characteristics, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) with closed-loop CAPA. About the role

As the Manufacturing Manager at Kerry Plentong, you will be responsible for leading high-performing teams to consistently deliver customer excellence, meet contractual obligations, and drive key operational metrics. This role holds full P&L accountability and plays a critical part in shaping the strategic direction, performance, and development of the operations function.

Reporting to : Operations Director

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and enforce compliance with customer policies, procedures, and contractual agreements to ensure operational alignment and service excellence.
  • Own and manage all operational aspects of contractual commitments, ensuring customer expectations are met with realistic, practical deliverables.
  • Monitor and drive performance against key metrics and service-level agreements (SLAs) to support business objectives and ensure continuous customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement robust contingency and business recovery plans to ensure operational resilience and service continuity.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting of operational performance and SLAs to executive leadership.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for resolving high-impact operational issues swiftly and effectively.

Strategic & Financial Leadership:

  • Hold full P&L responsibility with a focus on:
  • Maximizing profitability and operational efficiency
  • Managing cost of revenue
  • Embedding strong cost control initiatives
  • Translate business strategy into actionable operational plans to drive long-term growth and success.

People & Organizational Leadership:

  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the Operations Management team, ensuring excellence in service delivery and performance.
  • Design and implement an agile organization structure that supports business needs and enables scalability.
  • Drive a strong performance management culture through clear goal-setting, development planning, and regular progress reviews.
  • Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, training, and capability building to ensure the team is equipped to meet evolving business demands.
  • Mentor and guide senior managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Create a high-performing, inclusive, and engaging workplace environment that supports talent development and retention.
Qualifications and skills
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Food Science / Microbiology
  • Minimum 10 years’ related manufacturing experience – must have some background in Food or Pharma
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial role - Food related Managerial is most desirable
  • Technical knowledge in Food Hygiene standards, HACCP and AIB requirement
  • Experience in food manufacturing industry with knowledge and experience in spray drying is a distinct advantage.

A Manufacturing Operator is responsible for assembling and inspecting electronic components and products. They follow detailed instructions or schematics to ensure quality and accuracy in production. Operators use various tools and equipment in a production environment while maintaining safety and efficiency. They also assist supervisors with continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Demonstrates basic technical expertise on process/product technologies to support design, optimization, validation and troubleshooting of those technologies.
• Under supervisory direction, provides input to Equipment engineering or external equipment/tooling or material vendors in the selection, design & development of new (or upgrades to existing) equipment, tooling and materials.
• Demonstrates good working knowledge of DFSS/DMAIC tools and, with mentor assistance, applies these tools in the characterization, optimization and troubleshooting of process equipment and technology performance.
• Supports the development and execution of experimentation and testing to enable characterisation, optimization and troubleshooting of processes and equipment. and summarizes, analyses and draws conclusions from test results leading to effective technical resolution.
• Supports the introduction of new processes, equipment and materials including installation, calibration, EHS assessment debug, and all associated process and quality system documentation requirements including technical and process work instructions.
• With mentor assistance demonstrates good working knowledge and application of Lean methodologies, and process improvement tools to assist in identification and elimination of "waste" process steps and development of efficient, cost effective equipment and processes.
• With mentor assistance demonstrates good working knowledge and application of Process and equipment validation techniques, PFMEA’s, and associated regulatory requirements and applies this knowledge in the support of efficient & timely validation of equipment and processes.
• Under supervision supports the writing and release of process validation documentation including FMEA's, Validation Plans, protocols and reports.
• Under supervision, supports execution and documentation of validation builds, co-ordinates testing of validation units and compiles, analyses and reports on the validation results.
• With mentor assistance ensures compliance with all the regulations governing the quality systems.
• For individual who is assigned calibration engineering role only:
• Provide equipment calibration services necessary to meet company objectives, while assuring measurement traceability to nationally recognized equipment calibration standards and practices.
• Supporting Technical SME for Calibration group and for internal and external Audit
• Competent on Calibration Management System
• Perform calibration functions and sets day to day function for calibration group
• Supports the research and acquisition of new standards and other capital equipment, providing detailed justifications and cost analysis as required.
• Develops technical engineering reports and calibration procedures and trains department technicians on new calibration procedures.
• Provides support and guidance to calibration technicians in performing moderately complex equipment calibrations.
• Supports calibration lab needs regarding such issues as environmental control and new technologies.
• Supports Senior Metrology Engineer and Management to develop the department fiscal year budgets.
• Communicates with the Operations ME function on calibration status.
• Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
• Drive “Standard Work” in all aspect of Calibration activity.
