For Fire Fighting Section ( MU Instant and MU 3IN1) :

• Perform routine maintenance as per schedule on firefighting equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Regularly inspect and test fire safety equipment such as fire alarms, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting to ensure they are in good & working condition.
• Ensure all fire extinguishers are inspected and certificates are renewed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Fire Fighting contractor on all firefighting equipment repair & rectification works.

For Reliability Maintenance Section (MU Instant) :

• Support in servicing valves (Mecafrance, Fluoroseal, Mars & etc) including functionality & pressure tests.
• Participate in plant start-up and shut down activities.
• Complete any mechanical tasks assigned by Superior / Head of Department.

Responsible for maintaining daily operation of equipment, preventative maintenance on process equipment and facility systems, providing emergency repairs as needed with moderate supervision. Installs new equipment and inspects and repairs existing equipment.

What you’ll own in this role…

1. Follow safe work practices and support safety goals and objectives.
2. Work from prints, diagrams, schematics, specifications, instructions, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s manuals and specifications, to perform scheduled and emergency repairs.
3. Makes all necessary mechanical repairs on equipment, including replacement, repair and installation of rotating equipment, bearings gears, shafts, pins, etc.
4. Piping installation and ability to determine correct materials for each service.
5. Can read and understand piping specification and engineering drawings.
6. Safe operation of industrial equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, scissors lifts, hoists, rigging, etc.
7. Troubleshoot and repair steam systems.
8. Pump repair and installation.
9. Steel and sheet metal fabrication.
10. Maintains and improves preventative/predictive maintenance programs.
11. Estimate required tools and materials for assigned tasks; communicate and ensure parts, supplies, etc. are on hand for task.
12. Take direction from work order system and complete work, including all required paperwork/data entry in SAP-PM.
13. Communicate with Supervisor of issues as they arise and provide updates at shift change on work order status.
14. Provide training to other technicians in areas of expertise.
15. Communicate on a daily basis cross-functionally (Technical, Production, etc.).
16. Maintain a clean and safe work environment through effective housekeeping.
17. Appropriately respond to emergency situations.
18. Support compliance efforts – RCMS, ISO, PSM, OSHA, etc.
19. Manage time to effectively perform multiple job tasks safely and accurately.
20. Complete logs, batch sheets, and other required paperwork.
21. Attend meetings and training as required.
22. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
23. Must be able to work various shifts, including off shift or swing shift as required.
24. Follow all EHS policies and procedures.
25. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Production.

What you’ll need to be successful…

1. High school or equivalent degree.
2. Journeyman Card or two year degree or a union card in a particular trade.
3. 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment preferably.
4. Knowledge of distributive control system (DCS).
5. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization both written and orally.
6. Must be self-directed.
7. Working knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, E-Mail).
8. Ability to follow instructions, record data.
9. Able to lift and/or carry up to fifty (50) pounds and physical dexterity to assemble polymerization reactors.
10. Ability to work at heights and walk on grating.
11. Work in various climates (indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions).
12. Stand and walk throughout assigned shift.
13. Must be able to wear a respirator and other required PPE.
14. Work in an environment with various chemicals on a daily basis.
15. Interested in Participation on ERT and able to pass and maintain all of physical requirements.

Responsible for setup, maintaining, testing, adjusting, and supporting manufacturing machinery and machinery processes, which could include dies and molds. Will provide preventative maintenance on any problematic manufacturing issues and process equipment if necessary, as well as troubleshoot on a wide spectrum of tooling and production equipment

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.

1. Coordinate assigned PM tasks with manufacturing to minimize machine downtime while maintaining a minimum of 90% OTD.

2. Support Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering on projects related to equipment and/or equipment upgrades.

3. Occasionally perform light machining and basic electrical controls repairs.

4. Utilize Solution Center Tools Level 1 to communicate manufacturing issues that cannot be resolved on the production floor.

5. Assemble and debug new tooling.

6. Troubleshoot and maintain current tooling.

7. Order and maintain purchased tooling, replacement tools and additional capacity

Required Experience:

1. 3-5 Years’ Experience in a Technical or Manufacturing environment.

2. Must have 20/40 correctable vision.

3. Experience as maintenance or equipment technician.

5. Electrical experience including, but not limited to, proximity sensors, servo motors, production cameras, programming and troubleshooting PLC’s is a plus.

6. Tool and Machine background including experience in basic machinist skills, general die mechanics and bench work, and soldering, is a plus.

7. Familiar with MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).

8. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work independently.

• Strong experience in electronic control.
• Strong experience in the manufacture of pneumatic presses, inkjet printers, and the development of safety equipment in this equipment.
• Desirable experience in cost reduction projects and improvement projects.
• Basic English communication.

• Technician Level A, B, C, D.
• Industrial Equipment Experience.

Education:

Technician Level A.

• 3 years of ascertainable experience in maintenance area with strong electromechanical systems knowledge.

Technician Level A, B.

• Electromechanical Technical Degree or Incomplete Engineering career (4th semester or higher) and 3 years of ascertainable experience in maintenance area with strong electromechanical systems knowledge.

Technician Level A, B, C.

• Verifiable experience in molding equipment, dryers, chillers, and thermolators.
• Verifiable experience in knowledge of inkjet systems.

Technician Level A, B, C, D.

• 5 years of ascertainable experience in maintenance area with strong electromechanical systems knowledge.
• Technical Degree in electronic, mechanical, electrical or Incomplete Engineering career (4th semester or higher).
• Strong experience in automatic and pneumatic equipment.
• Strong knowledge in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

This is a 6-day working role (Monday to Saturday), working hours – 8AM to 4:30PM Malaysia time. Overtime (OT) may be required.

Rotation shifts will apply (every 2 weeks, day and night). More information will be shared during the interview process.

Physical requirements/Work Environment:

This position primarily works in indoor facilities. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. It may require standing for extended periods while walking in the facilities. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 Kg and climb a vertical ladder. Must have knowledge of working on hot surfaces, as there will be direct contact with molding equipment with high temperatures, and have knowledge in the use of personal protective equipment for solvents. The Maintenance Technician may only use hand tools, impact tools, hand saws, hand drills, hammers, and low-risk equipment. The use of all equipment and accessories that represent a high risk, such as bench cutting tools, electric cutting saws, manual bow saws, etc., is prohibited. Always use personal protective equipment where applicable for the execution of maintenance activities.
