A DAY IN LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities.

• Calibrate and perform daily health checks on conveyors, DWS, WCS, and X-ray machines
• Be the first responder for equipment breakdowns, quick "First Aid" fixes to minimize downtime

Kirk Market is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to assist our Maintenance Team with property management, and extensive experience servicing A/C and refrigeration systems, and general maintenance.

Job Duties:

Must be skilled and familiar with all of the procedures of maintaining a large commercial property including repairs and plumbing fixtures replacements, electrical repairs, painting, drywall repair and replacement carpentry, and all facets of property maintenance.
Repair and maintain all equipment in store (i.e. A/C and refrigeration equipment).
Ordering of maintenance supplies/parts.
Must be willing to be on call for after hour emergencies.
Ability to prioritize work assignments and deadlines.
Provide good customer service to internal and external clients.
Other related duties assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

Must have 5+ years of practical experience in commercial refrigeration.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, push, and stand for long periods of time.
Knowledge of CPC control and forklift operation will be a plus.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; trade certifications desirable.
Must have a valid and clean driving record.
Must be able to work on your own initiative as well as having keen diagnostic skills.
Must have basic math skills, be able to read, write, speak and comprehend fluent English.

Work Hours:
40 to 45 hours per week; must be willing to work alternative hours such as evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Compensation:

CI$12.00 – CI$28.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• Trouble shoot and repair plant facilities, machinery, equipment and tooling to meet the expectation performance.
• Reporting the inspection machine condition, repairing log event, spare part inventory according to facility department system procedure.
• Carry out the preventive maintenance activities to enhance the effort reduction of break downtime.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance as per schedule on firefighting equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Regularly inspect and test fire safety equipment such as fire alarms, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting to ensure they are in good & working condition.
• Ensure all fire extinguishers are inspected and certificates are renewed in a timely manner.

• Maintain detailed records of all inspections, tests, maintenance work, and repairs of firefighting equipment.
• Provide training to technicians and operators on the proper use of fire safety equipment.

For Reliability Maintenance Section (MU Instant) :

• Perform routine Preventive Maintenance activity as per schedule on mechanical equipment installed at ICP Plant to ensure optimal functionality.
• Support in servicing valves (Mecafrance, Fluoroseal, Mars & etc) including functionality & pressure tests.
• Participate in plant start-up and shut down activities.
• Complete any mechanical tasks assigned by Superior / Head of Department.

12. Take direction from work order system and complete work, including all required paperwork/data entry in SAP-PM.
13. Communicate with Supervisor of issues as they arise and provide updates at shift change on work order status.
14. Provide training to other technicians in areas of expertise.
