We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead engineering and maintenance programmes across our manufacturing sites, ensuring plant machinery, equipment, facilities, and utilities operate at peak performance. This role is key to optimizing production throughput while driving reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant Machinery & Equipment Maintenance – Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to achieve zero unplanned downtime, including equipment inspections, repairs, and commissioning of new installations.
- Spare Parts & Workshop Management – Oversee spare parts inventory, review purchase requisitions, and ensure timely, high-quality repairs in the engineering workshop.
- Continuous Improvement – Implement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while analysing failures and driving root cause solutions.
- Facilities & Utility Optimisation – Monitor and reduce consumption of power, water, gas, and other resources, ensuring operational cost control.
- Safety & Compliance – Maintain up-to-date SOPs and work instructions, enforce safety standards, and foster a zero-loss-time injury culture.
- Leadership & Development – Mentor engineers, monitor team performance against KPIs, and build technical capabilities to strengthen plant engineering competencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing or related fields, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven expertise in preventive maintenance, ISO compliance, and managing within a regulatory environment.

- Perform and support specific biomedical equipment maintenance activities at hospital premises under his responsibilities including testing and commissioning, warranty management, scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, asset decommission, advisory services, user training, vendor management, parts delivery to comply with the hospital support service’s contract agreement and safety requirement.
- Ensure all activities comply with Quality, Safety, Health and environment activities (Quality Assurance Program, Risk Management, Hazard Alert and Recall, Handling Hazardous Equipment) as per contract agreement.
- Drive service compliance such as ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14971:2018, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007and 6S audit to achieve company’s strategy and corporate score card.
- Implement cost saving activities to achieve company financial annual target.

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or related Engineering.
- At least 2 - 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Certificate of Competency from the corresponding manufacturer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia or Malaysian Board of Technologies
- Preferable candidates with the hospital’s support services experience.
