On our Perception team , you have the opportunity to work with world-class ML engineers and research scientists, whose mission is to make self-driving vehicles a reality and to create a positive social impact. Our team works on the tech stack responsible for perceiving the dynamic scenarios, and further tracking and classifying objects around our robo-taxi. We are looking for engineers who are passionate about Level 4 autonomous driving technology, excited by intellectual challenges, and interested in pursuing career growth with a fast-growing company.

What you’ll be doing:

• Participate in the full machine learning development cycle, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Productionize and deploy our large perception model on edge devices with optimization techniques in mind (e.g. pruning, quantization)
• Optimize training with large data and distributed machines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions and improvements
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize machine learning workflows for efficiency and performance.

What We’re Looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree. Masters or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a related field; or equivalent industry experience
• 1+ years of experience with deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch
• Strong programming skills in C++, TensorRT, and/or CUDA programming
• Fluency in Python, including standard scientific computing libraries and Python bindings development experience
• Proven track record of developing and deploying perception systems for autonomous vehicles or robotics
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles including software design, source control management, build processes, code reviews, testing methods

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer who is technically proficient in programming to build machine learning systems and maintain high performing machine learning models in production. Designing machine learning systems requires that you, as the machine learning engineer, is able to frame business problems and design machine learning solutions that can effectively bring value to the company. You will prototype, implement and experiment with machine learning methods to solve business use cases. You will lead efforts to automate, architect and optimise machine learning processes and workflows. You will also help define, execute and enforce best practices for test-driven model development processes for the entire Data Science team in MoneyLion.

Key Responsibilities

• Able to frame and contextualize machine learning problems
• Research, build and design machine learning systems and models that can solve business problems
• Assess, understand and analyse data to select appropriate datasets for data modelling and testing
• Identify, prototype and implement appropriate machine learning algorithms and tools to improve our products
• Design, execute and monitor machine learning model experiments and metrics

• Monitor, optimise and maintain machine learning solutions in production

• Enforce test-driven development and advocate engineering best practices to reduce technical debt in machine learning systems

About You

• Strong mathematical, statistical or actuarial background
• Good programming knowledge and software engineering skills
• Must have hands on experience in machine learning, predictive analytics and statistical modelling
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Adept at problem solving and troubleshooting using both textbook methods and novel viewpoints
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Proficient with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM
• Preferably have experience in building machine learning systems and workflows
• Preferably familiar and have experience with MLOps tools such as DVC, MLFlow, Metaflow, Seldon, BentoML
• Preferably familiar and have experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.

This position is designed for a passionate individual with a deep interest in machine learning, AI and data driven solutions. As a Machine Learning Scientist in MoneyLion, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and efficiency across the organization. In this role, you will act as the bridge to close the gap between complex machine learning technologies and practical business applications. You will be pivotal in identifying, developing and implementing machine learning strategies, translating them into tangible solutions that have a direct impact on our business operations and strategic goals. You will be expected to keep up with the latest developments in AI and machine learning, ensuring that the business stays ahead of the curve in leveraging these technologies. Key Responsibilities Conduct advanced research into novel models, algorithms and techniques that will directly be applied to solve real-world problems faced by our organization Develop and experiment with innovative machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems Use data driven methods to turn vast amounts of data into actionable insights and operational machine learning models and tools Communicate complex ideas effectively and translate technical solutions into business strategies Monitor and optimize existing algorithms for improved performance and efficiency Evaluate the effectiveness of machine learning models offline and online with well-defined metrics Work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers and MLOps Engineers to integrate machine learning technology into products and services Stay at the forefront of technological advancements in machine learning and AI Document methodologies and results as well as prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders About You Strong mathematical, statistical or related quantitative skills Demonstrated experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, data analysis and algorithm development Demonstrated ability to adapt new technologies and learn quickly Strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with creativity and curiosity Proficient in programming languages such as Python and SQL Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries like Tensorflow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost and LightGBM Advanced knowledge in specialized areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, search and recommendation systems Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Preferably familiar with big data technologies like AWS, MLFLow, DVC, Metaflow Preferably familiar with developing and deploying machine learning models in production Commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about the latest industry trends What's Next.
