The RoleDue to the successful growth of our business, we are seeking experienced Loss Adjusters across multiple states and locations in Malaysia – Kelantan, Pahang / Kuantan, Terengganu, Melaka and North Johor.
This position involves the expert investigation, evaluation and management of Property, Casualty and / or Engineering insurance claims. The role will require you to provide an efficient and high-quality claims handling service for various insurers. The role will also involve providing direct support to policy holders, whilst reporting to their Insurers in respect to the claim investigation findings.
Salary and title offered will be commensurate with experience level.
Key Responsibilities- To perform a loss adjusting function in respect of new claims and those already being handled in the respective location. This will involve, but not be limited to: -
- Receiving and acknowledging new claims instructions
- Managing and coordinating claims in a timely, professional manner, and complying with insurers’ service KPI / compliance
- Assisting with site visits and meeting with Insurers, Brokers, Agents, Claimants, Insureds and other interested parties
- Assisting with preparation of preliminary reports commenting in detail on all aspects of claim including policy liability / considerations, potential loss / quantum and future actions – for non-motor claims
- Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.
- Demonstrate and champion Charles Taylor Values by ensuring Agility, Integrity, Care, and Accountability and Collaboration.
- Assist with status updates and report uploads on claim systems
- Assisting with preparation and uploading of adjusting reports within the stipulated turnaround time as set out by insurers
- Assisting in providing instruction to surveyors, lawyers, forensic scientists, and other experts as necessary
- Assisting with calculations and reconciliations in the settlement of claims, and preparation of accurate final reports
- Experienced Property / Casualty / Engineering Loss Adjuster with a minimum of 1 years’ experience
- Holds professional qualification in Loss Adjusting (CILA or equivalent) or is willing to take up study for certification
- Holds a valid driving licence and possesses own transport
- Able to travel across state(s) on a frequent basis to attend client site (car allowance provided)
- Enthusiasm and commitment towards developing your adjusting career
- Good level of English competency

The role of the Desktop Claims Handler is to ensure that the claim files assigned are managed and assessed in a professional manner. This will involve working with the policy holder, Insurers, Brokers, colleagues and other professionals to ensure the claim is valid.
Manage claims on desktop (without site survey) from start (first notice of loss) to end (finalisation)
Communicate with clients/claimants via phone and email to address queries, request further information and/or supporting documentation
Examine documentation and evidence to determine claim validity
Evaluate claims based on policy coverage and determine conditions have been met and exclusions have been applied
Maintain accurate, thorough and up-to-date claim file documentation throughout the claims process in the electronic claims management system
Ensure all data and supporting documents are entered into the claims management system
Manage an open portfolio of claims in a timely manner, ensuring claims are managed in line with client’s SLAs
Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent claims with referral to Team Leader

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading commercial insurance brokerage as part of their commercial claims team. You will be based from their modern and conveniently located Bristol CityCentre offices, however, you will be able to work on a part home / part office basis is preferred.
As part of an excellent team, you will be focusing on commercial claims (non-motor) covering a wide variety of commercial insurances.
