Plan, monitor, execute, secure and supervise, un-damaged movement of all international imported & exported goods via Air, Sea, and Land, as well as local transport to and from regional hubs to dispatch locations for the offshore rigs. Ensure & supervise all required logistics, customs and excise documentation is accurate and processed in line with local and international requirements. Oversee & supervise the storage and movement of materials to, from and at local warehouses and yards in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Regulatory & Corporate Compliance- Prepare and ensure all import-export clearance instructions are issued to the Company’s Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Providers in a timely and accurate manner
- Oversee & Supervise performance of 3PLs to ensure agreed service level is maintained and resolve or escalate any performance issues to support management
- Responsible for identifying and/or validating Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) for all export or re-export materials as requested or upon receipt at 3PL provider via Material Receipt OS&D (Overage, Shortage and Damage)
- Ensure that safe and good environmental practices are promoted on a continual basis
- Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility and ensure all materials are stored and moved around site safely and in compliance with Company policies
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement of Company’s Logistics and Customs processes and policies
- Administer and maintain customs and other relevant documentation to ensure all statutory regulations are adhered to in the movement and reporting of materials
- Populate, maintain export compliance classification archive capturing HTSUS / Schedule (Harmonised Tariff)
- Schedule of the US, B/ECCN/License/License (Schedule B – Export Control Classification Number) exceptions, etc., for future catalogue inclusion by material master number
- Supervise and assist with export control documentation as it relates to Purchaser and Supplier Certification requirements
- Maintain rig shipping profiles (RSP) in partnership with assigned freight forwarder
- Ensure all material and packing reports are prepared and reviewed in a timely manner to meet designated shipping schedules
- Monitor shipments at docks, airport, or other location when necessary to ensure timely arrival / delivery
- Create, issue and receipt Transport Orders within Company ERP system
- Obtain quotes for domestic and international air and sea freight estimates
- Coordinate booking for air, sea, and land cargo and ensure movement of materials is done in a safe, efficient, and timely manner in accordance with Company’s Standard Operating Procedure and the contracts and agreements in place with the respective rig clients
- Manage and maintain regional warehousing and storage of company stock, ensuring all materials are stored in such a way as to prevent damage or deterioration in accordance with company policies and procedures and industry standards
- Action request for identification details on materials (photos, serial numbers etc) as requested
- Manage backloads from regional rigs and ensure these are actioned in a timely manner (with assistance from Supply Chain personnel as required) and actioned on Company ERP system as required
- Expedite and coordinate emergency or rig down orders from seller to packer and/or port of export
- Verify and check commercial invoices, BOL, AWB, export and entry documentation
- Verify all customs import entries against clearance instructions and confirm customs status and commodity codes for all international items with vendor
- Identify, document, and follow up on Shortage and Damage of materials
- Arrange permission and execute to scrap items in line with company policy
- Provide management and statutory reports as requested
- Perform other duties, complete additional tasks, and support ad hoc projects as required
- Supervise or and conduct stock checks on material held in Company storage facilities
- Support Supply Chain colleagues with audit and inventory stock takes

About The Role: The Logistics Specialist ensures control and execution of the local Warehouse and Distribution activities. The Logistics Specialist is responsible/accountable for: Execution of effective local logistic services; Identifying opportunities in the end-to-end supply chain to reduce waste, minimize cost, and work towards a more customer-driven supply chain. Goals and Key Accountabilities: The Logistics Specialist ensures the operational execution of local logistics services (transport and warehouses). He is responsible for guaranteeing on-time deliveries at the best cost. Responsibilities and Key Activities: Deliver Stock Accuracy level combined with stock target and costs. Weekly transportation planning and transport arrangement (Inbound and Outbound for shipment from/to factories, warehouses, customers). Stock Transfer and Delivery Orders creation (between JDE plants). Support Customer Service with claim management (main contact for LSP/Transportation companies). Post Goods Receipt, Post Goods Issue, and scrapping execution in SAP. Monitor stock in transit. Inventory count execution (physically and systematically), root cause analysis of results. Shipping and picking documents preparation (if applicable). Pallet management. Packaging materials stock management and replenishment. Weekly KPI reporting (for example: On Time In Full; Stock Accuracy; Stock Levels; Financial Accruals; other applicable KPIs and Reports). Further involvement in local and global initiatives to define and execute improvements on service, stock, and cost savings. Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent. 3 years of logistics or transport experience. Previous LSP experience and carriers’ management experience. Strong analytical skills. SAP/ERP affinity for Logistics. Nice To Have: Knowledge of cost drivers in LSP and trends. Good knowledge of retail/FMCG markets. Good communication skills, result-oriented approach. Additional Information
