We are currently seeking ambitious individuals to join our Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) team in the role of Mortgage Specialist working together with colleagues to display HSBC Values and achieve Vision to become the world’s leading international Bank.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Responsible to grow the Mortgage business, cross-sell retail banking products, and refer potential Premier customers to Premier Relationship Banker or Managers.
2. Consistently meet individual performance expectation and strive to achieve highest sales performance.
3. To lead the Personal Banking proposition to ensure opportunities are identified and customer needs are met effectively, maximising all available resources.
4. To ensure the growth of customer portfolio by generating mortgage business and referring Premier and Wealth needs to the branch.
5. The job holder will work closely with the branch Primary Banker, Premier Relationship Banker and Managers to ensure continuous inward referrals for mortgage needs.
6. To ensure high standard of sales and service levels are met by providing excellent customer engagement and experience journey as per the bank’s standard.
7. To ensure all customers' information is acquired, updated, stored and maintained accurately.
8. To ensure the requirements of the Sales Quality Standards are met by minimizing errors and breach.
9. To ensure all operational procedures are maintained within stipulated guidelines/regulations, audit requirements, compliance and other procedure manuals pertaining to the job.

4. Responsible for advocating the Personal Banking Proposition, leveraging opportunities whilst ensuring customer centricity.
5. Deliver high standards of service levels as defined by the bank, providing best-in-class customer engagement and experience.
6. Ensure compliance with products and sales policies, procedures, and guidelines set by the bank and relevant authorities are adhered to and complied with at all times.

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

Personal Financial Services
We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

• In charge of the strategic acquisition of new customers for mortgage / housing loan products through the available marketing channels. Role includes advising, preparing, and delivering suitable mortgage packages for the customer
• Grow the bank's current customer portfolio in providing product solutions in accordance with the Bank's prescribed standards and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the profitability and growth of the branch by developing and maintaining customer relationships through utilising the full spectrum of banking services

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• Preferably 2 years of working experience in business-to-consumer sales with proven track record
• Sales experience in Banking Retail Products preferably in mortgage sales will be an added advantage
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
• Result driven and comfortable dealing / interacting with all levels of people
• Committed, confident, determined, self-motivated and a team player
