Title : Linux Engineer Duration : 1 Year (renewable) Location : BUONA VISTA LINK The System Administrator will be responsible for performing System Administration and Management activities for the Company and/or In-Scope Institutions. Requirements:

  • Basic TCP/IP knowledge concepts - Subnetting, VLANs, DNS, IPv6;

What you will be responsible for:

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems
  • Develop and maintain Shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency
  • Manage storage systems, including NetApp, Ceph, and ZFS.
  • Implement and maintain system automation tools for provisioning and configuration management.
  • Deploy and monitor system performance and health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus.
  • Administer resource scheduling software for workload management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Apply networking and security best practices, including firewall configurations and access controls.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

How you will stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat), with expertise in system tuning and performance optimization.
  • Proficient in scripting (Shell, with Python or Perl as a plus) and automation tools (Ansible, PXE, Kickstart).
  • Experienced in storage management (NetApp, Ceph, ZFS) and system monitoring (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
  • Knowledgeable in resource scheduling (Openlava, Slurm) and networking/security best practices (RHCE/CCNA preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with an innovative mindset to drive system improvements.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to perform under pressure.
